The Stepford Cuckoos in Episode 2 of X-Men '97 Season 2

Another one for the X-Men au: where team rwby ask Jaune about the five teenage girls who look like a mix of him and Emma that are significantly older than his other children and why does every time I think about them I get this weird feeling huh? I was thinking about something, but I don’t remember what the hell I was thinking about.

Weiss: Jaune who are they

Jaune: who cuckoos their ethnic my daughter honestly I’m not even sure how it works anymore. I stopped asking questions when they showed up.

Ruby: They're clones?

Jaune: Yeah, of Emma. They were grown from some eggs that Sinister stole when Emma was in a coma for a while.

Yang: How'd you even find them?

Jaune: Well, one of Sinister's uh... clones, I guess, named Claudine Renko used one of his labs to try and create the perfect mutant. Emma, Rogue, Scott, Remy, and Madelyn followed her there, where they discovered Sophie, Phoebe, and Mindee in stasis pods and nearly fully grown.

Weiss: Ok, but why do they kinda look like you?

Jaune: Well, they don't have my DNA, but I suspect it's something of a combined mental projection, possibly because they do see me as a father figure and wanna look a bit like me since I helped them integrate into the real world. So, basically, they're Emma's and my daughters, in a sense.

Blake: Wait... They do mental projection?

Jaune: Oh yeah, every telepath has the ability, trust me, I've seen Emma use it to project herself wearing elegant clothes when she actually was just wearing some pajamas!

Yang: That sounds pretty awesome! You don't even need to get dressed; you could just project yourself wearing clothes.

Jaune: *Blushes* Oh, trust me... She's done that before

Ruby: What!?

Jaune: Yeah... Anyway, the Cuckoos may be older than the rest, but they're still pretty much teenagers. For example, Phoebe is in her rebellious phase~!

Weiss: She is?

Jaune: Oh yeah, but she's terrible at it! She'll be upset with me one moment and then apologize the next cause she felt bad! Sophie and Mindee tease her about this all the time.

Yang: *Snickers* Yeah, sounds like sisters to me! Crazy how you can tell them apart

Jaune: You're kidding me? I lived with a pair of twins myself; I had to learn pretty quickly how to tell them apart!
