Numbering Things
I used to numbering things. And people.
And feeling.
Happy was number 1. Because people said it's the most important thing. Like how good a movie is when it's a happy ending. Sad was number 2. Because people also said you got to have things balanced, and sad was just the opposite of happy. Thirsty was number 3. Because you just couldn't live without water. Hungry was number 4. Because eventhough it's less important than water, it's still very important.
I kept on numbering my brothers and my sister and the police guy down the street and the lady on the Indomaret and candies and ice creams and unicorn and big foot but it ended up way too much i couldn't count them all.
So i stopped.
And I learned that life's so much easier when you stop making things stupidly complicated.
The Naive Talk
I call it 'the naive talk'.
You know, when someone's talking as if there's no problem at all with the world. Like rainbow is all pink and unicorns exist and ice cream is free and everyone is a saint.
Heard that a lot. And laugh and scoff about it a lot too.
It's hard to be soft this time around. Not with the world force you to be hard. With all the hate and all the pain and all the bitterness people show on each other.
And being naive is just plainly laughable.
I used to wish the world would just be all automatic. With people being all naive and everyone is all rich and no one needs to worry about anything.
Maybe it'll be easier then... Because then everyone could somehow afford to be naively happy.
Defining Me
Because what you measure yourself with will end up defining you. Shaping you into things, of passion, adoration, pride, or money. And so the self-value will always come out from the same equation of the same variables all over again. Repeating and repeating and repeating like it's the most common thing ever exist.
I hope it'd break somehow.
So maybe I could start measuring myself the way I want to define myself.
Not a lot of people will care.
As much sucks as it sounds, that's just how things work.
Life is life and it's not going to be easy.
You go around wearing your heart on your sleeve and you'd realize how much it sucks. You care a lot, and people would think it's okay to hurt you over and over again just because you care. Or people would think of you as a bother and tell you how annoying you are.
And it's kinda sad, because one day you would think that you've had enough and then you feel you're too tired to care...
...and finally you'd stop caring too.
