One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Seuss, "Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter." It took me a long time to realize exactly how true this statement really is. Don't give any power to people that make you feel less in any way, shape, or form. If they're not putting food on your table or helping you in some way their opinion shouldn't matter one bit. My happiness levels went way up when I decided to keep everything in my life as simple as possible. If it doesn't serve me in some way then I do not serve it. Life is too short to worry about what the naysayers or straight haters will think or say. Just do you in every sense of the world. The grass is greener is always on the other side of the fence because it's rooted in bullshit, especially if that fence sits on social media. Focus on living healthy and happy. What?? Thought I was all rainbows and unicorns now? Hardly... I love being up and positive rather than down and bitter. Choosing to rise above the lazy, entitled, self-absorbed, mean and ignorant people I deal with each day is simply good for ME. There are lots of people I'd love to punch in the throat. Some jerks WILL get dressed down, as the situation warrants, Jersey style! Being spiritual does not make me a doormat, but it does make me more discerning about who and what is worth my time and energy.
