Minecraft Player Culture and Behavior
In my opinion, the longer a game is out and played, the more that the players in said game shape their behaviors.
That is to say, after 13 odd years of playing, I’ve noticed a BUNCH of things about how players interact with eachother.
A few that come to mind is crouching- we used to be able to block with swords, so combined with crouching and blocking in more or less PVP zones, that was the key way to communicate: Hey! Wanna be friends? Work together?
And then there’s the fact that when waiting, players can NOT stand still! They gotta move! Jump around!
Parkour became a big thing- and still is! In a bunch of servers I’ve noticed that the waiting areas are filled with Parkour obstacles to mess around with, and if their isn’t- people will just try to find spots to do them anyway!
Another one is how people just. Punch towards the direction they want people to look at. You can’t point, so you gotta punch!
Anyways- this is all me saying, what are some player behaviors you’ve noticed?
How does it differentiate towards other games? What do you do to communicate with eachother outside the chat functions?
