Witches are often considered some of the most cruel beings in the Overworld, and no example shows this better than the Viler Witch. They probably got their name from the particularly vile tactics they use to intoxicate their subjects, throwing potions that linger in the air long after making contact. They also make use of invisibility potions to make themselves a more difficult target, which shows a particular level of cunning not seen in most Witches. Their robes are dark blue and tattered with intricate gray designs and shorter sleeves to allow them to move more freely.

NEW MINECRAFT IDEA GUYS!!!!

So I watched this video from the YouTuber Nekoma about adding features from Minecraft spinoffs to the base game (You can watch the actual video here, it's really good!)

In the video he talks about adding tropical slimes from Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Earth to the base game. (Exhibit A if y'all can't remember)

To make a long story short, gathering inspiration from the texture of the mob, tropical slimes would be able to capture underwater mobs and then certain mobs would give them certain combat properties. (Go watch his video for his full idea of the mob!!)

Well, the tropical slime is such a cool idea that I think regular slimes should do the same, but for surface mobs!!

For balancing, lets say baby slimes cant capture anything, medium slimes can only hold zombies and skeletons and maybe spiders, and then big slimes can hold creepers, illagers, witches, and enderman.

For the small slimes, as compensation, I also wanna update them to actually do some form of damage. Even if it's just knockback and no actual damage effects, the fact that small slimes are basically coughing babies just makes the whole encounter feel boring imo. So making them be a threat in some way, even a small way, will just make slimes more fun to encounter.

I also have cool ideas for the buffs slimes would get by trapping each mob:

- Zombies just gives them more health and damage (and inflict hunger if the slime captures a husk)

- Skeletons let them shoot slimeballs (with slowness arrows/poison arrows/weakness effects depending on which skeleton variant it captures)

- Spiders lets them jump higher (just by an extra 2-3 blocks), making them harder to hit

- Witches let them fire slimeballs w/ potion effects

- Pillagers let them fire faster moving slimeballs with a slower fire rate that hit a bit harder

- Vindicators let them hit even harder w/ the axe

- Evokers let large slimes spawn medium slimes to aid them in battle, and gives slimy jaw attack that can stick you in place. The jaw itself can be destroyed with one attack tho.

- Enderman let them teleport a short distance after every 3 bounces.

- Creepers let them explode after landing with a clear flashing telegraph that let's you know they're going to explode. I think it would be cool that, after the explosion, the large slime turns into medium slimes that can also explode, albeit smaller explosions, and then they become small slimes.

- The Breeze gives them a shockwave attack that activates when they land. The shockwave only happens every other jump as to not be incredibly annoying.

I honestly just really like the idea of a mob that can take on the properties of other mobs, especially since slimes are so rare to find and are also just a boring fight anyway. Also if I missed any hostile overworld mobs (I don't dare wanna think about this in the nether) then lmk!!!
