I had a weird minecraft dream and there was a weird mob in it so I made a thing about it. Most of the stuff from my dreams and some I've made up.
Dreamers are an aggressive mob in minecraft that are created when a villager dies. Its random and you might not always get one.
They are sensitive to water and take high amounts of damage from gold items.
They can float up to 1 block off the ground and can faze through things except for stone based blocks, bed rock, obsidian, dirt, and sand.
They're also repelled by granite, diorite, and andesite. This will keep them at least 20 blocks from where you are if you have them placed.
When provoked the first time, usually by hitting them, they will chase after you for 30 seconds real time. 1 hit takes 2 hearts and they can do fire damage. The second time and onward they'll chase you for a minute real time. If you're the one who killed them, they chase you for a minute real time.
You can stop them from chasing you if you drink a position of invisibility or a bucket of milk.
You can turn Dreamers back into villagers by leading them through a enchanting table surrounded by 4 bookshelves. You'd usually need to provoke a Dreamer to do this but if you set the blocks down and wait for a bit they'll run into it eventually.
After a Dreamer is turned back into a villager, they'll have better trade items and most won't require emeralds.
If you hit a villager that was once a Dreamer, they will immediately turn back and chase you. This time, its forever so you better kill it or have some milk handy. They cannot be turned back into a villager after this and the distance limit on repeller blocks becomes 10 instead of 20.
When you kill a Dreamer they're most likely able to drop emeralds, Glowstone dust, fire charges, and most rarely diamonds but only up to 3.
Now, what if they fallow you through the nether? Well, that's when we get Nighterrors.
There's not much else to them that's different except for the way they look and that they throw fire. Terrifying really.
