Me: peacefully watching the credits of "i tricked this server into my minecraft ARG" bc i was currently having a brainstorm and i have a rule of always watching ARG videos till the very end
Me: oh okay let's watch if for five times more until my bad eyesight catches something
Another Minecraft head canon/theory I have is that since Steve was the first mob in the game, in-universe that means all life descended from them. The higher powers took parts of their soul to make the other mobs, which could be why most of them drop xp...the XP is fragments of their soul.
minecraft thoughts:
-villagers are descendants of elephants
-piglins won’t attack if you wear gold bcuz it’s a sign of peace. as an outsider, you’re a visitor, and if you steal, you’re gonna get attacked. dunno my full idea, but they hate the overworld due to sickness and the ancient builders. maybe some sort of experiment to deal with the zombie problem.
-you, the player, are a type of golem. a last resort for the ancient builders. one day, you awaken. all other humans are long gone, but you’re the backup plan. and you don’t (usually) have to worry about the permanence of death. you just do whatever you feel like with no memory of who made you.
-the reason why redstone exists in the ancient city is because it was an attempt to activate the portal. whatever opened it is lost to time and to the skulk that came from the other side. also skulk is fungus.
-fungus runs the game, man. everything is fungus. fungus is good.
The End has Low Gravity
It’s not official but it does and Mojang should finish the job in a future update.
I had this thought in the shower just now and it all adds up. Everything in The End suggests that it’s a low-gravity environment.
The terrain is exclusively floating islands—many of them quite large. Not that floating islands don’t appear in the Overworld and Nether, but they are by far an exception rather than the rule. And sure, you can build gravity-defying landscapes and structures in any dimension, but they appear automatically in The End.
The End Cities are very tall and precarious. Again, physics in minecraft is a light suggestion at best, but if you were to try to build End Cities in real life, they’d topple over. Auto-generating structures in the Overworld/Nether can stand on their own in actual gravity.
On those same points, the End Ships also float.
The Ender Dragon is the largest mob in the game, and it flies. Sure, it has wings, and yeah, magic is a thing and all, but as someone who was a colossal dragon-nerd as a teenager, I feel confident in my assessment that it’s wings are too small to lift its body on their own in “normal” conditions.
Chorus plants, like End Cities, are tall and precarious. I don’t know what the material those plants are made of is like, and by themselves it’s not a huge argument in favor of The End having low gravity, but it fits well when added with everything else.
The Endermen are very tall and thin, which—like the chorus plants—doesn’t present that strong of an argument by itself. But if The End does have low-gravity, it would make sense that the Endermen—one of the main species’ that evolved there—would grow taller as a result of less gravitational force pressing down on them.
I would love to see an End Update in the future that gives it a similar treatment to the Nether in the recent Nether Update. Give it more biomes, mobs, even music. But the main change, in my opinion, and the change that all other changes should take into account, is that The End has low-gravity and all players and mobs in The End experience a continually-refreshing jump-boost buff (minus the particles, maybe) while they are in The End Dimension.
Journal Entry #17 Endermen are the only creatures known to inhabit every dimension. You'll find them everywhere from the Overworld, The Nether, and of course, The End. Appearances tend to not vary too much. Each with silky, blackish-purple skin or fur; long, floppy ears; jaws that glitch and unhinge; and their signature long arms and legs. Although they are traveling creatures, they tend to mirror their environment, similar to how mooshrooms evolved. Becoming one with nature, Endermen in warped forests will gain turquoise undertones and warped fungi and roots begin to grow off them. Mouth and eyes have a warm glow like that of shroomlights. Endermen found in snowy biomes have ice-blue or grey undertones and their fur grows longer to protect them from the cold. Occasionally, you can see spikes and icicles form along their slender form. In The End, Endermen are taller, with longer horns and brighter eyes. They're more easy to anger, and sometimes you'll find that they have small wings on their back. You can imagine how it works with the rest of the biomes, but the endermen type that alludes almost all is one called "Farlander". While there are legends of them in the Overworld, most are bogus. Along with these myths, there are whispers of a land known as "The Aether". A world so similar yet so different from our own. Not many have tried to venture there, though the ones that have reportedly succeeded, never came back. Except one. But he wasn't the same, he had changed. He came back with paler skin and glowing eyes. Along with appearance, his personality was different. He became elusive and haunting. People describe him as omnipotent but not benevolent. Herobrine. He broke off connection between the Aether and other 3 dimensions. Some say there are places in the world where his powers don't reach, where you can open the portal. Where you can find the Farlanders. Akin to the land, they are a chilling species. They tower over you at 11 to 15 feet, neon green eyes complementing their cloud white skin. They're docile creatures and more evolved then the other Endermen. They've formed communities and towns in The Aether, and while they are ... eerie, Farlanders are quite nice and welcoming. The language barrier is large, but its easy to navigate without understanding their tongue. They wear long, flowing clothes and often are adorned with emeralds, gold, and a blue stone known as "Zanite". Hopefully, in the future, can we fix the connection of the realms and we can introduce them to Overworld once again.
Sooooo
New snapshot uh
Deep Dark Cities, reinforced deepslate and portals? Maybe portals? Portals!
There would be many many things to talk about, like how probably the wool floor is mostly a gameplay mechanic that may be worked into the lore saying that maybe, maybe it was a change done after the skulks started to spread, or the new enchantment, or debating when exactly during the Ancient builder history they were built BUT
But
Here we are talking about this
This my friend is 100% an unlit portal. It follows all the Portal Rules tm
It is shaped like a rectangle
It has a heat source (soul fire)
It's made of hard material (reinforced deepslate)
The only "unusual" aspect is the cosmetic frame around it which seems to look a bit like a warden head sans antennae. ( to be precise this older iteration of the warden concept)
Now, we don't exactly know how the first portal was discovered or how exactly it works (just to say one: why does the nether spread around ruined portals but not new ones? And why it doesn't work the other way around?)
BUT we know the Ancient Builders, by the time of their undoing, knew how to master it.
This new portal puts a big question mark on RGN theory of them being wiped out by the zombie plague, or partially so.
The Ancient Builders knew of the Nether and the End. And they were dying by the thousands due to the zombie plague.
And we don't know (yet) if the portal ever worked, but this is not the point.
Perhaps a mass death event in a concentrated point caused enough skulk blocks to spawn and then maybe a shrieker and from there a Warden. Perhaps the Ancient Builder see this beast as a last chance, they were never in the Overworld, the Nether or the End before so it MUST have come to somewhere else, perhaps a skulk dimension. So they create this new portal, made of reinforced deepslate, the hardened version of the hardest naturally generated stone, they lit soul fires under, they encase it in a face, the face of a monster sure but also the face of their last hope and then?
Then we Don't know
But this maybe the start of something new. Either lore or a new dimension.
i think the deep dark cities were performing some sort of forbidden rituals (since they were so secluded and hidden away) to summon the warden. or! they chose the deep dark because of the wardens blindness/sensitivity to light. they thought it would be for protection or power as long as they continued to worship it, but as soon as it came through to the overworld they realized that wouldnt be the case.
or maybe it wasnt sudden. maybe it was gradual, and the skulk slowly started to take over and the warden started to do more and more damage to the city. the warden took over everything with skulk corruption, as well as killing off the villagers. since theres nothing really growing or living down there anymore, theres no more xp for the warden to farm to continue spreading the skulk. which is why it hasnt touched the surface, and has stayed in the deep dark
