hey so random thought about tadc ep 5,

I was thinking with the niche older media references and inspirations that the show has, and how especially prevalent hares are in old fables I wonder if maybe Jax's backstory with his friend is a reference to one.

So while I'm kind of pulling this out of my ass, and it could be a coincidence Im wondering if

Frog Friend here could make this a reference to Aesop's story the hares and the frogs.

With the theory that Jax lost his tail to a partial abstraction, I kind of wonder if Frog Friend went first because they more scared.

Maybe this is why they were friends, bc they were similarly willing to give up.

Maybe this is why Jax hates Gangle, her weakness reminds Jax of Frog Friend before abstraction.
