a/n - this is my first time publishing a writing of mine so pls feel free to criticise and tell me if there are any errors and such. your comments are highly appreciated so i could improve my future works! p.s: im really bad at endings but i hope you guys will enjoy!!! p.ss: i actually plan on making this as a svt series called “13 beautiful words” and i’ll see if i should do it if i get any feedbacks :D

(n.) the wordless look between two people who both desire something, yet are equally reluctant to initiate 

The first time you downcast your eyes on his lips, he was sobbing.

His plump red lips were trembling and spluttering random words about wanting to give up on practicing and just staying in the dorm curled up on his bed. A sigh left your lips as your fingers skim the back of his shirt. “Mingyu, you’ve been doing this for the past two years, what happened for you to feel like this all of a sudden?” The reply you got was just a shake of his head and another round of his sniffing. 

An hour has passed when he asked if he could visit you and suddenly started crying on your couch. “You don’t understand. It’s been so difficult lately and this kind of difficult is not the kind where I couldn’t get any moves right or sing any notes well. It’s more suffocating this time.” Your eyes went down to his lips as he replied to your earlier question. 

The bottom of his lip was tinted red from his earlier lip tint but also from the biting he had done to stop himself from crying earlier before his outburst. It’s also wet from him licking it too much and you found yourself swallowing hard and reluctantly moving your eyes away from his lips and down to his trembling hands.

You decided it was better to hold his hands for this time.

The first time he stared at you really closely, you were sleeping.

The night was young but your eyes were already fluttered shut due to not getting any proper sleep from studying way too hard for your upcoming entrance exams. If it wasn’t for Kim Mingyu, you would still be revising your notes and probably drowning in coffee once again.

He didn’t mean to stare. He knew if you’d wake up and catch him staring at you the way he’s doing it, you’d probably head-butt him and kick him out. But the moonlight shone beautifully down at you making all of your raw features visible for him to witness.

The soft long lashes of yours touched your cheeks and it made the beat of Mingyu’s heart move a little too fast for his liking. The soft snores that came out of your parted lips intrigued Mingyu. He had always thought of how beautiful you are but since you’re his close friend, he doesn’t do anything about his certain opinion.

Maybe in the near future, he’ll have the guts.

The first time you two craved for it, you were painting.

The splattered color on his cheeks was endearing and the little smile plastered on your lips were making his cheeks brighter than the red color on his canvas.

You were childishly painting each other. Making sure that the person on each other’s canvas will look nothing alike than their real features but more like a child’s nightmare. 

A giggle escaped your lips as you painted his eyes green instead of the chocolate brown. The smirk forming on Mingyu’s lips telling you he’s doing something similar to what you were doing. A minute has passed when the two of you looked up at the same time and pausing the activity to just staring at each other.

You have always admired his eyes. It’s like a whole new universe lives in his eyes that’s why it always shines brightly. His nose, the part of his body you touched the most. Always poking it with your pointer finger and unknowingly making Mingyu feel all tingly inside.

His lips were free of tint this time. Its natural color sits there and it made you want to get closer to it more. There’s something beautiful about his lips that you always find your focus on it. The reason why your heart felt like bursting from your chest when he called your name.

His eyes finally meeting yours, there was a look in his eyes that you could decipher. Uncertainty. He was uncertain about something and there’s this distant voice in your head making you slightly assume of where this uncertainty is coming from but you didn’t act on it.

He was the one who got off the chair to make his way towards you. He was uncertain alright but he made you stood up to your full height and made you tilt your head up to fully look at him. The uncertainty was still evident in his eyes when he cupped your cheek and moved his head closer to yours. But when you moved your head closer to catch his lips,

the deepening of his kiss was certain.

Cuddling with Mingyu

im trying to get in his lane back after being a hoe to others pls get blessed how clingy he is gonna be in this one

as always you were waiting for mingyu at a cafe nearby till his shift ended

It was nearly twelve when he did finish his work and went to a designed table for you at the very good area

your eyes were wide as if you didn't try to pinch your legs that continuously

he smiled weakly at you; both tired and missing each others presence

"you look perfect and it does amuse me everyday"

he chuckled as he untied the brown-ish apron sinfully handsomely

"so i take that as compliment and a kiss would help to destress me?"

you quickly complied with a grin across your lips when he made a sudden movement to peck you on the lips

"is that a sign? i mean yes but i'm so tired that cuddle is better.. " you pouted but internally feeling guilty in a speed of light after saying that to your barista boyfriend

of course he was so tired and he needed your attention for his needs

but you, too, were tired and all plus waiting for him after work in the none silence existence place

mingyu would understand that,, "yeah we should just cuddle up tonight, i don't want to move a lot, too" he pulled you into his long coat and walked out of the cafe

he was perfect, always, and he had the warmth no one could supply through kindness and physically(that is for you)

"mingyU sTop!! my EYESSS!!" he joined you in showet and accidentally rubbed your face in the shampoo foam

you squealed again and again,,, like you both lived in uninhabited island where the two of you only have and free from other people

he would wrap you in the towel after he got out to get his and had you in his strong arms afterward

you were lucky to have him in such goody mood if not you have to bear might as well a beast-y side of him. urgH

"y/n.."

you hummed in response

"where's my kiss?" you sighed and turned to him before tugging both of you in the black duvet cover

you leaned in to peck his cheeks but he was, "ahhhh…on the lips too" so so clingy that had you chuckling softly at his whine

you had to peck him here and there before you just cupped his cheeks and kiss him barely on lips but he didnt play along ,, pulled you into a mid-rough kiss

not much of tongues because he seemed didn't enjoy it when you were tired and tend not to take advantage of it

you never thought he would be a gentle kisser at first encounter which was 2 years ago

he didn't kiss you before he asked for consent

it was just his personality and respect for you,, courtesy !

he smiled and kissed your side lips with more of care

"y/n..babe i can't sleep,"

"we're just few seconds in.. but there" you instantly react to his hidden favor by embracing him, loosely

he enjoyed how much care you put for him although he should be the one besides you also almost never hesitate on giving

"gyu.. when will you stop growing?" you nonchalantly asked him

he was all but silent

"hm.. if dinosaur ever discovered still exist, i will stop growing"

"are you gonna have me in your palm then?.. "

"if i had to do so.. then you will have to be there, darling" he pinched your nose bridge

the gibberish and no ends nonsense kept up until many minutes passed

"my mom misses you babe.. she wants to meet you next week.. can you take a day off?"

he nodded and kissed you on the lips, "she doesn't have to miss this handsome guy once i change your surname to mine"

aWHH "was that a pickup line?"

he pouted

"what if not? and will you marry this tall guy if he proposed you? "

"i'll consider but i have to make sure dinosaur doesn't exist so i dont have to look up every single time i talk or kiss him"

"so that's mean yes then" he giggled contently at your long answer

"try me harder, gyu"

oh sure he wILL

"just prepare your little fragile heart because i will make it melt under my lips"

you cuddled him tighter and snuggled under his white loose shirt like five

"i can die in peace with you under my shirt.. goodnight baby"

you already snoring softly yet he in so determined to have his heart beat under control
