rick-ia:
Rick strolled into the library as if he owned it, as he did with everywhere else he went, and stopped by the counter. It seemed he was less than adept with accepting greetings from people who weren't rebellious outcasts with a few too many holes in their faces. He needed to do some research, and there was no better place to begin than the library. 'Excuse me.' He called out to the only man he saw. 'Would you happen to know where I might find a research book on interaction with multiple races?'
minhoe-ia:
A person Minho knew was a new student strolled into his library. A pair glinting dark eyes followed every step of a tall male, scrutinizing the interesting persona - even among all the different creatures here the male had a sort of morbid flare MInho liked. Well. That will save his time. Hallelujah. Imprinting the rules on newcomers was sadly one of his duties.
"Well. Since you’re already here, before we get to you getting your book, let me pass a few rules you should keep close to your heart. I’ll be quick. Be quiet, respect the books, return them on time and unmaimed and we get along swell. Now.” Minho turned into a gust of smoke and crossed through his desk. ”That depends on what kind of interaction do you have in mind? Attracting? Repelling? Killing? - the latter is unfortunately forbidden here.” He added confidentially.
That was one of Rick's least favorite words. Rules, pah. Who needed rules when men were inherently chaotic? All they served to do was delay the inevitable, and he much preferred the idea of all hell being unleashed sooner rather than later. However, if he was to remain at Insolitus, he had no choice save follow the rules. He sighed overly dramatically as he leaned on the counter. 'Unmaimed? My good sir, why do you not just sink me to the bottom of the ocean now and save me the trouble of enduring such suffering?'
When the librarian turned himself into smoke, Rick straightened out again and raised his eyebrows in surprise. He hadn't seen a talent such as that before. It certainly looked useful. 'Unfortunately the answer is none of the above.' He chuckled lightly at the other's comment. 'Don't remind me. I find it harder every day to resist the urge to kill a student or two. No, I requre knowledge on something akin to culture, as well as how to avoid offending others. It would seem I come off as standoffish; can you believe that?' Hazel eyes rolled in exasperation at the very thought. Rick assumed himself a perfect gentleman. Most often, at least.
