it's not everyday that minhyun needs something from a friend, but he could really use minjoon for something. it wasn't anything urgent, but he was in the vacinity in which he knew joon would be so he was doing his best to catch his friend before he leaves his little deabte club. god minhyun can't stand the dabate club, if he wanted to debate he would go back home, he didn't get why people got a kick of arguing. but that was neither here nor there, he likes to remind himself as he is speeding through the building to get to the usual room the club was held.

his eyes lock onto the correct number and he can see there is still a light turned on. so without any second thoughts, no nocks, no nothing, he pulls the door open "dude you better be in here-" he says before even sticking his head inside, but his voice rather echos through and he doesn't hear any sound from the other side. minhyun does eventually look in there.

empty. fuck he had missed him, and now he had to go out and find him again. he is about to turn away and leave as if nothing had happened but his eyes catch a glimpse of someone in there. he is halfway out the door when he realises, too much in a hurry to even think properly apparently. so he has to grab the doorframe and push himself back inside "hey sorry, have you seen joon?" minhyun asks, but his words almost get stuck in his because suddenly his brain decided to recognize who he is looking at. now.. this is awkward a bit, isn't it? considering the last and only time he met her was when he practically picked her up from a bar and took her back to his place… well, she was quick to leave the morning and minhyun never thought much about it.

"oh wow." he starts, has to clear his voice as he leans against the door frame more, a rather charmin grin pulling on his lips "fancy seeing you here, you look well and all." he says, as if he could see much of her in the bar or his flat, but that was besides the point. he saw more than enough to be able to recognize her. funny, they hadn't crossed paths before, but whatever issue he needed minjoon for was quickly forgotten really.

victory drinks with @stagedown

this is the third- maybe fourth time in the past few months minhyun has played mediator, or coach really- yeah lifestyle coach had a ring to it, he likes that better- but that wasn't the point really. it was probably the fourth time him and agatha had been cornered in one of the empty classroom's corner, one airpods split between the two of them for the call agatha had with her mum.

minhyun had been playing support role, typing on his phone for answers agatha should give. some remarks had to be removed and rewritten, he wasn't speaking to his parents so swear words were a no go. but he had learned how to handle these situations as they had been going on for a while. honestly, he thinks this was the longest calls he had had to sit through. he doesn't complain, never does, but his composure and proper remarks and comebacks are running on thin. he could never be as patient as agatha was with her mother, then again, his parents were never patient with him so why did it matter-

the call finishes after about twenty more exchanges but his friend was already getting the hang of how to answer, how to pretty much twist her mum's words just enough to get the upper hand. that's what a few years under his wing does to people and minhyun is lowkey- highkey actually, grinning wide, ear to ear, his face might split in two if he was honest. his cheeks even hurt, but god did it feel good. agatha hangs up on her mum and he instantly takes the airpod out of his ear, sighing loudly in victory as he slumps into his seat, thrown caressly being thrown on the desk. he ignores the way it bounces off it and lands somewhere on the ground.

"not sure about you, but i think victory drinks are well deserved." minhyun says, doesn't even ask as he playfully, and lightly, shoves agatha by the shoulder.

coffee crisis with you? university cafe

"i can hear you judging before i even have to look at you.” minhyun says as he stirs his iced americano, with the few extra shots of espresso. he doesn’t really dare look up at the other right now, hunching slightly over his reusable cup and continuing to move the straw around it. it had been a rough few weeks now, university was kicking his ass, assignments were never ending and he found himself locked up in his flat more often than he would like to admit. he needed the extra shots in his drink right now. he would much rather be in bed, catching up on some sleep, hunched over his stupid laptop with dori at his side, but he couldn’t say no to the other.

he takes a slow and long sips, eventually looking up at the other and a sheepish smile pulling on his lips “i think caffeine has lost its hold on me, i need to go on a detox.” he says, before leaning back in his seat. they were in the campus cafe, quite early in the morning actually, still busy and very uncharacteristic for minhyun. he himself is surprised he managed to squeeze in his usual workout before this as well, he doesn’t really want to think about the rest of his day would do, he just knew he was busy. “you think another shot would do the job or i should actually detox from coffee and energy drinks?” he asks, because really... another shot sounded a lot better than detoxing. “i’m being serious here, i need answers i don’t have.”

gotta go fast with @lxckystrike post bonfire capture the flag game

minhyun should have stopped drinking about three hours ago. not that anyone counted or cared, he didn't either. situations like these were his bread and butter, it was what he knew best. a good amount of tipsy and debatable decisions made.

which is exactly how he ended up playing a game of catch the flag, in the almost pitch black, and most definitely not sober enough to keep up or see properly. he has lost count of how many points they had. were they ahead? were they behind? he couldn't tell, but he was having the time of his life with this game. the university should think of more events like these on campus, he would join without the alcohol involved. 

anyway, this was fun. or it was because he finally got the flag for himself and was doing his best to manoeuvre quietly and somewhat sneakily, around the course and failing miserably. maybe it was all the grumbles and swear words that were leaving him, or the fact that at times he felt like the ground was shifting under his feet- he should have stopped drinking hours ago- but he is doing his best effort to not actually get caught. which, to his credit, he doesn't get caught for the majority of his sneaking around.

he sees someone in the not so far distance heading in his direction, so he ducks behind a barrel, he thinks its a barrel, he can't exactly tell. he stays there, for way too little time and decides he can get back up and leg it. he is, however, unlucky. the person that was headed in his direction hadn't passed him yet and most definitely sees minhyun get up from his hiding stop. it;s a guy, minhyun can tell that much, but he legs it as quickly as his still tipsy state allows him. 

he also makes the insane mistake of looking over his shoulder to see what was up with the other guy, only to be greeted by someone sprinting at what he could only describe as full speed at him. 

"aw man-" minhyun can't help but whine, looking back in front of him, only to narrowly avoid one of the other obstacles.

cat dads unite with @impulsetheories present day, some random pet shop

minhyun has been stood in the cat food section of the pet store for over thirty minutes at this point. debating if he should change up dori's food or not. she never seemed to care, for a pure bred siamese, she really didn't give two flying fucks about what she ate considering the amount of times he has caught her stealing from his take away left on the livingroom table. pizza, chicken, noodles- you name it, she has ate everything and barely sufferent consequences.

mainly because:

1. he had a strict, no messing with dori policy if she goes into her cat tree hole 2. he noticed too late 3. he never managed to catch her

lucikly, she was as healthy as ever. so minhyun was indeed… lenient. to say the least. anyway, cat food, treats, whatever. he is surprised about the fact that not a single employee here has bothered to offer help.. impressive if anything. he can't help but sigh, running a hand through his hair as he moves further down the isle to see what the wet food has to offer. he takes exactly two steps in the right direction before he hears shuffling behind him and he has to look over his shoulder, curious more than anything. he manages to catch, finally, another person in the isle with him, actually looking at the cat food and if anything, social anxiety should really fear minhyun on most days. if not all days.

"hey dude, sorry to bother you," he starts, already turning on his heels, smile easy on his lips. the guy looks pretty close to his age, he can take that guess at least "you got any good cat food recomendations?" he finishes his question. "looking at switching up my cats food, not sure what to grab."

get together with @thrillar present day, minhyun's flat

"please stop threatening to steal dori from me, i will actually get a restraining order for you." minhyun says, sigh loud and dramatic as he pulls the cat up in his arms, close to his chest as he watches kiwoo suspiciously. his childhood friend had just dropped by to visit him, minhyun has to admit he did bribe him for company to the night, play some video games or whatever, and food. food he thinks is the main factors kiwoo visits him whenever he does, but he doesnt complain.

"i have the set up ready, the food was here, cold drinks in the fridge and the first you say when you come in-" he pauses, eyes his friend an the fact that he hadn't even taken his shoes off, brow raised "is that you will steal my baby girl from me?" he finishes his question, pressing a few aggressive kisses to dori's head as she purs in his arms "sometimes i think you only use me for free food and dori..." he is teasing now, grin growing wide on his lips as he steps closer to kiwoo, in order to reach to the closet and pull a pair of slippers for his friend, still refusing to let go of dori as she was oh so cutely snuggled in his arms.

"come on, food is gonna get cold if you keep taking your time." minhyun says with a hum and heads further into his flat. he's lived off campus for a while now, his rented flat feels like a home at this point in time. he makes his way quickly to the kitchen, the table set with too much food for just two people but he never had issues with leftovers. if anything, it made it easier to not think about what to have for breakfast tomorrow, or lunch… probably dinner. he finally lets dori out of his arms, and she doesn't exactly look pleased but she goes to bother kiwoo instead as minhyun roams through the fridge for their drinks "just so i have more reason to get called the absolute bestest friend to ever exists, i have gotten your fave drink. multiple as well." he says, loud enough to be heard as he pulls said drink out from the fridge and a beer for him before heading to the table.
