the thrill is gone
starring: agatha zhou ( @stagedown ) and han seoyun in ‘’when the truth hurts but lies are sweeter'
"... and he stops me when i'm the way back to my room and i'm like dude, can you seriously not read the vibes i'm trying to give you right now?" seoyun rants, slightly crouched over with her legs slightly spread while she sat on her couch, one hand wildly gesturing in annoyance while the other grips at her iced coffee.
this was the seoyun that she rarely showed to other people. the part of her that was a little less 'proper', because goodness knows she'd rather recite a 10 page essay by heart about gianni versace's life in front of an auditorium of people than have anyone else see her manspreading. she had a reputation to hold; she was han seoyun, and han seoyun didn't let a single hair of hers be out of place in public.
the need to perform the role of 'han seoyun' was deep in her bones and difficult to shake off, like with many of the other ophiuchus members, or her classmates, or even her family. and maybe the act wasn't warranted at all in other's eyes (everyone had bad days, uncomfortable times, or whatever else), but to her it felt needed. but with agatha, one of the very few people she can comfortably call a friend (not an acquaintance, not an enemy, a friend), it was different. she didn't feel the need to preform in front of her. she was just seoyun with her, and that was more than enough.
"then he has the audacity to ask me if i'm 'open minded'," she says the phrase in a mocking voice, pausing to take a long sip of her coffee. "like, wouldn't you like to know? i mean, where do people like that get off? i bet he only has like 100 followers, anyway."
the lack of response catches her attention. usually, agatha would be right there, responding to her little comments and rants, but today she was... awful quiet.
picking her head up, seoyun sits up straight as she looks over at her with concern in her eyes. "... aggie? is everything alright?"
