So I got my hands on some Sculpey and was like, Hmm...I wonder what I should make? Obviously, the answer was mini kaiju. (Like I even had to think about it.) I was going to do Otachi, since she's probably my favorite, but I thought the tail and wings would be a bit much for my first try, so now I have a tiny and adorable Leatherback. (Please ignore all the bits of hair and various detritus that has found its way into the Sculpey, I am a beginner! How do people avoid that? I shall have to investigate.)

Does he look chubby enough to y'all? That is my favorite aspect about him (so cute), so I want to be sure to get it right. I'm not entirely sure how accurate he is (I couldn't find a good reference pic of his back ಠ_ಠ), but since his design seems to vary slightly from concept art to toy figure to miniature sculpture to movie, I say WHATEVER.

I'm going to bake and paint it eventually. (And take better pictures because I sculpted his claws and you can't see them here. I am proud of those claws, okay.)
