back problems be upon ye.
"You-"
{ Silence }
{ this isn't happening } { not again } { it isn't happening } { this can't be real } { reduced to just a toy- a toy for others' amusement- but of course, when had she never not been? } { born for the stage, her only purpose to entertain } { the only thing she could ever provide } { it had never truly escaped the role of a clown, had it? } { shrunken smaller than a doll } { and now- } { wrapped in flesh once more. there are features on her head- a face where there wasn't just a moment prior. protruding from what was usually a blank, empty canvas. } { a unique mould. } { identifiable, open and exposed } { this can't be happening } { small and fleshy and weak } { at this size- she couldn't even provide use in hair and skin }
{ it wants to laugh } { they can't tell if they actually are of if they're hyperventilating } { she struggles to breathe nonetheless } { there is a myriad of sensations she had already forgotten. smell- taste- it's almost overwhelming } { she- she needs to sit down, this can't- } { it wasn't for that long, was it? she survived once, they can do it again they just- } { this shameful face, this lump of flesh and bone and cartilege her makeup is too far to reach and much too big to use and she can't get anywhere this small and this weak and she feels- something like a bug. but even squishier. } { its hands reach up to cover this face it shouldn't have, the warmth of breath that shouldn't exist hitting her palms } { breathe- } { breathe- } { it needs this breath- to what, to what?! There's nothing it can do, not in this state at least, but- } { after, maybe- } { it couldn't give them what they wanted. } { come on, Nikola, you should know how to act by now }
{ you're a performer, after all } { you can choose which show to put on }
Artist Mannequins!
I'm not sure if that's their name, but it's what I heard other people call them. I love these things and I'm very tempted to get one (or more) of them to place them in future photos.
In the meantime, enjoy the ones I took photos of at the Draiflessen Collection.
what if I made you pocket-sized
Like. Tiny Nikola.
what then.
…
>:)
*shrinks you to about the size of a pencil for 15 asks + whatever rbs happen in that timeframe.*
good luck!
"What. No. You can't just-"
{ But you could. } { and did. } { A slow, gradual shift, limbs creaking as the world fell away, stretching and towering up above } { in a way, everything felt a little alien, strange in their new sizes... She might've found it intriguingly delightful were it not for the fact she was about the size of a pencil } { it would be far more difficult to get things done in this state, even if the new perspective offered was interesting enough }
"You change me back right this second!"
{ as if their expressions weren't tricky enough it's even more difficult to make out what face she's making than normal. The anger in her voice more than makes up for it though } { however did all the dolls put up with this?! } { always strange, those little things but yet- now she was probably tiner than even them, irritating as that was... } { it couldn't even reach the door handle in this state, eurgh… }
… *picks you up by the leg and shakes you around >:3*
"Hey. No- No-aaah!!!"
{ a tiny yelp as the mannequin is shaken mercilessly, the ground now far above them as it spun dizzyingly. } { there goes its hat…. }
{ it has been through the air many times, in all sorts of tricks, but this was just something else entirely, swinging back and forth and up and down with no rhyme or reason, body swung this way and that until it decides to lean into the momentum enough to grab onto your hand to stare up at you }
"Are you quite done yet?"
Hello Nikola! unicorn again! I have a really good question. Do you have a nick name? or even multiple nick names? (I call you Nicole sometimes.)
Oh, how lovely to be speaking with you again Unicorn! How have you been? And oh, that is a good question, haha! Well… 'Nick' was possible, though more frequently used for Nikolai- Nicole is a nice one, yes, haha. Certainly thrown about a bit… There was- honestly, quite many nicknames used for me… Kolya, Niki, Nikolay, Nikolai, Cole, Lala- really, anything you can come up with has probably been used at least once!
{ at first, many had taken to calling it a 'puppet', sometimes a 'dancer' or 'the new one'. often, people in the circus used job titles and skills to refer to each other, clothes too sometimes. The Dancer In Red. The Contortionist In Blue. The Clown With A Frill. not everybody bothered with remembering names at all, really }
But generally, most simply referred to me by name.
{ Nikola. occasionally, Orsinov or Orsinova. } { Kolyunya or Nikolasha but only by her father, and even then- only rarely. the affectionate nickname had always sounded hollow and wrong when it left his lips }
