back home from the gym for active rest day. didn’t do anything crazy, just cardio and swimming (blub blub). I did, however, run into my trainer/coach at the gym. He had to skip town for a couple of weeks because of a family emergency. turns out that emergency was his wife was going to divorce him.
..................I had no words when I heard that bit of news. All I could really do was give words of comfort and encouragement. He said he’s glad it’s happening now instead of later down the line when they had children. true in a sense, but doesn’t make it sting any less imo.
i chatted with him while we were doing our thing in the cardio section, and he had me change up what my cardio routine was. He had me row on the rowing machine until I logged 20 calories, then had me do 50 air squats afterwards. Did that for 30 minutes, my legs and back were having a good sweat. It wasn’t super intense, which is what i was aiming for, but fuck did that put me through my motions. Afterwards I went to the pool (after showering of course).
we have a training session set for this thursday, so i’m looking forward to that =) time to get ready for work
today’s pic: somewhat tired while also feeling a tad bit annoyed that he has to go through something like that. No one should have to feel that pain =\
