Day 7: #MiniAndMeAcro #YogaChallenge #YogisChoice 💜💙💚💛❤️ Last day of this awesome challenge! This was so much fun and I just loved seeing all the smiles and play going on in each photo. That's what we need more of in our lives, play and laughter. There is simply not enough. With that in mind, I skipped ahead in @PeacePlaceForKids 30 DAYS TO A MINDFUL HOME to day 19 whose theme is to laugh and be silly. When there is so much nastiness out there in the world and so many opportunities to see the negative, let's take time every day to laugh out loud and channel our inner child and share that with our own. Pre-school aged children laugh over 300 times per day!! that's amazing! Just think of how different our society would be if you kept that up through adulthood. Day 5: #miniAndMeAcro #YogaChallenge #WheelPose #BowPose 💜💙💚💛❤️ I love today's theme: our breath. One of my favorite yoga teachers reminds us all the time that our breath is our partner and that no matter what, if we stay on our "river", which only we can swim, we can overcome any situation that brings on feelings of anxiety, stress, anger....even depression. If we can start teaching this to our children that their breath can be their friend in times when it can be hard to control feelings and emotions, then we can be planting seeds that will be so beneficial to them as they grow into happy adults. I wish I had known more about these principals when I was a kid. @PeacePlaceForKids 30 DAYS TO A MINDFUL HOME, suggests taking 3 big deep breaths...I like to count my inhale and exhale. Day 4: #MiniAndMeAcro #YogaChallenge #CamelPose #Ustrasana 💜💙💚💛❤️ Well, I tried to use an app that said it would let schedule posts for later and that it would post for me. It didn't work out quite that way. A good lesson in patience. Day 4 in @peaceplaceforkids 30 DAYS TO A MINDFUL HOME is about creating a gratitude journal. This is such a great idea and something I will definitely be doing with Dylan and for myself. It is so important to be able to reflect how amazing our lives truly are even in when things aren't going our way. Journaling has been a useful tool for me in my personal development. I know this habit has really helped me set my intention for the day. How will you implement this activity in your home?
