Ive began a little summer project, I've started backing up a bunch of old family videos recorded to Mini-DV. I've got 36 to go through, with each tape being 60 minutes, and the backup process playing the tapes in real time, this may take a while, but it's good for passing the time. Also it's nice to make good use my ever expanding early-mid 2000s tech horde lol. The nice part of the camcorder running in real time is that I can hook my sanyo tv to it, and watch the tapes as they are saved.

I've begun a little summer project. I'm backing up some old family videos stored on Mini-DV tapes. The easiest way I have is to do so via windows xp and windows movie maker 9. I've got 36 tapes to go through, each holding at least 1 hour of footage. The tapes play at real time while being saved, but this also means I can hook up my old sanyo tv and have a bit of background ambiance, so that's fun. If I find anything spOooky I guess I'll update, but it's just some old family videos not marble hornets lol, so unless I find something really interesting, I'll probably stay silent until it's over.
