I did something I haven’t done in a long time: I built a computer from parts. It’s a miniITX chassis made from low/mid-priced parts in a minimalist case with a handle. I set it up first to test TrueNAS but then I’ll wipe it and set it up to be dual boot Windows 11 / Linux system. This is second nature to me as I put this together without any instructions (except when I had to look up where to connect the power button because I couldn’t read the text on the motherboard). . . #diycomputer #diy #miniitx #miniitxbuild @amd #nvme #truenas #nas (at Beaverton, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiqHbMCvK3C/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Heaven and Hell PC Build - Ryzen 2200G AM4 In Win A1 Mini ITX
Planning an ITX build? Watch this first! The In Win A1 is a tale of two states! The Hellish build and the heavenly end product. But is it right for you?
In my opinion the In Win A1 ticks a lot of boxes. Compact size but enough space for a full sized tower cooler, a full size GPU and even an almost standard ATX PSU.
Add to that the windowed side panel, mounting options for up to 4 120mm fans and whisper quiet solid build quality, and you have the ingredients for a killer ITX system.
Sounds great right? Well actually not entirely! The downside of the tiny case is a pretty cramped motherboard area and limited access to things like the power and fan connections.
Definitely not test bench material!!!!!!
But when it is all put together the system purrs along quietly and remains cool and serene. Just what a mini ITX is all about, minimal desktop footprint, maximum performance!
First new build for mom in about...8 YEARS! Testing and installing Win10 before I install the optical, storage drives and tidy up the rat's nest of cables in this #miniitxbuild
