depends on who you ask and when in the derivation and what your definition of phasehood is. i'm personally kind of allergic to everything between T and v, and really prefer to hang out in DP / CP domains, so i don't have a strong opinion on when / how phase-ful vP needs to be.

however if it is a phase you gotta sometimes do some bullshit with two specifiers to be able to get extractions out through it while still having spec,vP be where agents are base-generated. personally this pisses me theeeeee fuck off but i don't have a better solution other than having two specs and being pissed off about it lmao

anyways why do you ask *accessible to people who kind of know what a phase is, so like, not random undergrads or minimalist/syntax-dislikers, i suspect
