The amount of times I've had to correct observations of solitary bees on inaturalist that were identified as honey bees is insane. Please, double check an ID before you suggest it.

Here she isssss - a model !!! (Andrena flavipes, adult female)
Yellow legged mining bee resting on a crocus, this february, the earliest i've ever had them visit the little ecosystem i've been crafting in front of the house.

simulate the experience of watching a mining bee dunk its head in a flower by flipping between these photos
alternatively, simply appreciate its shape. i find many visually distinct (yet equally impossible to ID) miners every year, but these are my favorite due to their size and orangeness

I have got mining bees in my garden. I noticed a lot of quite small bees buzzing around my lilac tree and went to investigate. I already knew about the #MiningBee 'volcanoes' and have deliberately left them undisturbed. I'm not a #bee expert so I'm not sure if I have identified the species correctly. Let me know what you think. btw I also saw a butterfly enjoying the lilac but wasn't quick enough with the camera. #UKBees #WildlifeGarden #UKInsects #MiningBees #TawnyMiningBee #Nature #NatureLover #AshyMiningBee #HelpBees #SaveTheBees #ThisMadeMeHappyToday
