We have had the question under serious consideration for some time. and mining engineers connected with the project here made a number of tests and are satisfied that the titanium properties that have lessened the value of the ore can be extracted by. an electrical process. “This winter it is our intention to start in to test she manufacture of iron bricks for paving purposes.’ These tests will be carried on at The Citadel Brick Company plant. located a short distance cast of the Montmorency Falls, and we have every reason to hope that they will be a success, and lead to an important industry in auxiliary to the Citadel Brick Company industry. “In regard to the development of the Baie St. Paul iron ore deposits, we have chiefly formulated our plans and much depends upon the building of a spur line of railway, nine miles in length, from Baie St. Paul to St Urbin, where the iron ore mines are centered. “We are asking the Government the owners of the Quebec & Saguenay Railway, to build this spur line in connection with its Quebec & Saguenay line to form part of the Canadian National Railways System, and should the Government comply with this request, we will build a large plant at St. Urbin for the preparation of the ore and the manufacture of pig-iron, without doubt meeting with success.

“Thus you will see that the projected Quebec & Saguenay Railway. as the short line asked for will run through a rich agricultural section and open possibilities that on the line of the Quebec and Lake St. John Railway, create new economic fields as well as justify the expenditure.”    Mr. Parent after having giventhe foregoing information, said he  expected to move back to reside in the City of Quebec next year.
