There’s Something We Should Talk About...//Monday, August 19, 2019/Seblaine ‘mini’ para.

Blaine read back over the text Sebastian and him had been exchanging throughout the day, his nerves creeping up to grab at his stomach again as he read the words there is something we should talk about and I think so but, we should talk in person or on the phone. Blaine believed Sebastian when he said it wasn’t about them but, his intuition witchy and just basic in general told him he still needed to be on guard. He forced himself to sit still and endure the rest of his classes. It was the start of the year, and now that he was on his fifth year at LeFay University he was learning more advanced things every day and he didn’t think his Headmaster father would appreciate him leaving early. Especially after he had cut out early on his private lessons last Sunday. He let himself smile thinking back, he didn’t regret that early exit one bit even if it did ear him a few probing questions from his father.

As soon as four o’clock hit he was in his dorm giving himself and his room a quick once over. Freya was there, giving her normal, broody, disapproving look. He shook his head at his familiar and rubbed her favorite spot right under her chin. “You know you’re allowed over there anytime you want. Ras misses you, you could be civilized and come visit him and his papa.” He never said Sebatian’s name out loud behind these walls, he didn’t know who might be listening. He kissed the top of her cloud soft head and was in Sebastian’s alley way in less than thirty seconds. He knew he could put himself into the apartment but, Seb was still getting used to it and Blaine didn’t want to overload him with magic every single day. He made his way up the steps and just used his key to let himself in. He was greeted by Ras kisses and his nervous heart lifted a bit. Ras had that effect. He made his way further into the apartment and found his guy, already showered and in sweats for the night

“Hey, you. You look comfy.” He leaned up for a hello kiss and smiled up at Seb as he pulled away. “So what’s this news that’s had me mildly freaking- well, kinda a lot freaking out all day long?

Talia had taken herself back many times over the past few months, and part of her wanted to experience what her life was like, again, before her mother had - in her mind - corrupted her life. For a large part of her life, her mother and father seemed to have forgotten about her, and suddenly, after she’d overdosed, they wanted her to change her ways for good. Of course, Talia respected her mother’s choice of putting her back into school only because the life threatening experience shook her a bit, but now she regretted it whole-heartedly. She never stopped using drugs, they fueled her being, but she decided to use them in moderation - only when she felt the need to escape reality for a while; and that night, she needed any form of escape she could get. As a result, Talia had sent a text to her usual drug dealer, who’d told her to meet him in the alley closest to the Lowry Triangle at 10:00 pm, small park near her apartment in Prospect Heights.

It didn’t take long for her to make it to the park, so she lounged around a while waiting until she saw her dealer enter the alleyway across from her. There was hardly anyone out on the street, because of the bitter coldness of that night. Talia waited for a while, shivering as the cold wind gnawed at her skin, then finally she saw her man walk straight into the alley, looking around as if someone was watching him. Quickly, she paced toward him, following him into the darkness of the way, “Hey, hey!” She exclaimed, trying not to be too loud, “You got it?” She asked, her breath heavy from walking so quickly.

On Your Side || Ruby + Bridget

The text from Bridget had woken Ruby, but not entirely unexpectedly. After her girlfriend had rung and mentioned she was going to be late, they’d agreed on a text when Bridget was home, and meeting on the beach. The neutral ground seemed a weird choice to Ruby, and it caused her heart rate to increase slightly at the contemplation of what it could mean. Pushing all thoughts to the side, Ruby slipped out of her pyjamas and into a tee and sweats, before making her way to the beach. Once she arrived, it was easy enough to spot Bridget, and make her way to her girlfriend, arms automatically encircling her in a hug. “Hey,” she said simply, with a soft smile.

Todo era un caos en el aeropuerto, había bastantes daños físicos pero hasta el momento no había ninguna víctima de mayor riesgo, los bomberos, policías y paramédicos llegaron a prisa pero tanto Jay como Orlando no tuvieron nada grave salvo algunos golpes y raspones por ayudar a las demás personas. Tal parecía que lo “grave” había pasado y poco a poco se iban restableciendo las líneas telefónicas, televisión y otras cosas. Tanto Orlando como el debían salir de allí y reportarse en la estación de policía porque estaba seguro que iban a tener mucho que hacer. Justo iban saliendo del aeropuerto cuando su celular comenzó a sonar.

–¿si? ¿Roma? ¿estás en el hospital? ¿está todo bien?—pregunto al escuchar a la voz de la residente, ni si quiera sabía que estaba en Hawái hasta que ella lo menciono en esa llamada—Tranquila, respira profundo y dime ¿Qué está pasando?—la notaba nerviosa y casi al punto de llanto, escucho algo sobre Max pero cuando menciono a Adrianna pensó lo peor y hasta sintió que el azúcar le bajo de golpe—Espera… ¿iban a Maui?... mierda—dijo rechinando los dientes—No te preocupes Roma ahora mismo voy hacia la estación y armare un equipo… ¿Qué? No, no quiero que tú y El doctor Connelly conmigo… No Roma—escuchaba como la residente le suplicaba y ahora mismo le estaba diciendo que iban a ir con él quisiera o no, si los dejaba ir solos podrían perderse o algo peor—Bien, después de pasarme al recinto iré al hospital por ustedes ya con el plan armado pero tendrán que obedecer mis órdenes, ¿entendido?—sabía que por ella no habría problema pero el Doctor Connelly era otra cosa completamente—primero asegúrate bien de hablar con tu jefe y que sepa que tendrá que responderme a mí porque… no voy a dejar que algo les pase a ustedes—no le quedaba de otra más que aceptarlos así que eso haría.

Colgó el teléfono y era obvio que algo le preocupaba, no le comento nada a Orlando porque no quería que fuera con él, no cuando recién venia llegando a la isla, le dijo que pasarían a la oficina y que él se quedaría allí a terminar el papeleo en lo que él se dirigía a el hospital porque tenía asuntos pendientes que arreglar así que en cuanto lograron llegar hizo lo indicado. Tomo el radio y comenzó a buscar informes sobre el helicóptero, no tenían información así que el tendría que planearlo todo, necesitaba más, así que tendría que hablar con el Doctor Connelly, llego al hospital tardando más de la cuenta todo a causa de los daños que había causado el huracán, no vislumbro al jefe si no al Doctor Hayden quien no dudó en ponerlo al corriente.

Hotaru couldn’t think of a more frustrating outcome, but he also couldn’t think of a more frustrating man.

This time, he only knocked once (because he couldn’t not knock) and then he stormed in, knowing that the door wouldn’t be locked. If anything, Kenshi would be expecting him.

He beelined to the patio again, whereupon he unsurprisingly saw the Sword Saint relaxing - somehow, again - with his stupid opaque drink. How he wasn’t curled into a fetal ball of shame Hotaru did not know. He also did not care.

“We would have won, you know,” he stated, voice coming out far more subdued than he had intended -- but it was a message that did not need to be loud in order to be clear.

Kate hasn’t been on a date in ages. Honestly, she’s sure it’s been years. She’s always been more focused on her training and then the superhero stuff. Yeah, that was more important. She’s had time for a make out here and there but an actual date? Yeah, no. But here she is, going on a date with fucking Johnny Blaze. To be fair, he had been the one to suggest it, really. The continuing the make out after dinner. He’d been a really good kisser, she wanted to kiss him some more, so of course she’d say yes. But she got along with him very well. And she did want to get to know him better. So on a date they’re going.

And Kate Bishop is nervous. Which is laughable, really, she laughs in the face of danger, but this isn’t danger, this is a date. Completely different. She takes one last glance in the mirror, checking to make sure she looks good, and she does, and then grabs her purse, sliding on her boots, and heading out the door. She said she’d meet him outside her apartment building, and then take him to the restaurant she plans on taking him. She wants it to be a surprise after all.

She takes the elevator down to the lobby and then exits, saying goodbye to Jack the doorman, and then heads outside. She’s just in time to see him approaching and yeah he’s got that bad boy look going for him and she’s grinning because yeah, the nerves are leaving. Just a tiny bit, but it’s enough for her to breathe right now. “Hey there, Cowboy,” she drawls, approaching him with a little hop in her step. “Long time no see.”

Fortescue’s Leftovers || minipara

The problem with Fortescue sundaes, Scorpius decided, was that they were really just too big for any one person to eat. (Not that his friends seemed to have any trouble polishing one off but -- they were Weasleys. They didn’t really count.) He poked his lavender-and-pistachio-with-honey-sundae idly with his spoon, lamenting that he hadn’t waited for one of them to come here with him. He could usually prevail upon Albus to finish his deserts and almost always could get Rose to, unless he’d ordered something “too weird for ordinary humans to ever consume I swear there’s something wrong with your tongue” like he did sometimes, according to her.

But no, he’d been shopping for new books to take to school with him (without mother or father or his grandparents because he was fifteen now and that was practically an adult and he didn’t need someone to take him to Diagon Alley mother, don’t be absurd!) and he’d gotten peckish and decided to get himself some ice cream. And now he couldn’t finish the blasted thing; almost half of the green-and-purple sundae still sat barely touched in its tall glass bowl. He looked around, wondering if anyone would notice if he just got up and left. Scorpius knew he worried too much about what people said about him but he couldn’t stop doing it. And given the way Albus and Rose’s family liked to pick on him for his lack of appetite, he was skittish about leaving so much uneaten ice cream behind. What if someone thought he was doing it to snub Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor? That had been Hermione Granger-Weasley’s assumption when he hadn’t finished all his dinner when he’d visited Rose’s house, and now he was paranoid she wasn’t the only one thinking it...

A familiar head of untidy black hair caught Scorpius’s eye and he turned, anticipating salvation -- but it was the wrong Potter. Still, James could probably polish-off a whole sundae without blinking (but probably not without belching). Before he could think better of what was undoubtedly a really bad idea, Scorpius waved to get James’s attention and called, “Oi, Potter! Fancy some free ice cream?” He gestured to the table and immediately regretted it.
