The Kiss | Dallas;Amiyah;Harrison
Amiyah was sitting by herself, just enjoying the outdoors.
Dallas was walking by and saw Amiyah sitting by herself and walked over to her. He gestured to the place next to her, “Is this seat taken?”
Amiyah looked up once she noticed Dallas before shaking her head, “Nope.”
Dallas smiled and sat down next to her, “So where’s the hubby at?”
“He brought the dogs to the groom.” Amiyah smiled and shrugged.
Dallas nodded, “You guys are just the picture perfect couple for this crazy experiment, aren’t you?”
Amiyah blushes a bit and smiled shyly, “Do people believe that?”
“Why wouldn’t they?” He explained, “You’re the only one that stayed together and you have a house and three dogs. You’re the dream scenario for a lot of us. Not to mention you two actually seem to like each other.”
Amiyah couldn’t help but grin even more and shyly fiddle with her fingers, “How are you and Luna?”
Dallas shrugged, “Okay, I guess. I wouldn’t say fireworks yet but she hasn’t left like the first one so hey..progress.”
Amiyah smiled sympathetically, “You’ll get there. And like I said, if you don’t then maybe she wasn’t the one.”
He looked at her, “Do you think Harrison is the one for you?”
“I like to believe so.” She smiled shyly, “I mean I still have a couple of weeks but I really like him.”
Dallas nodded, “Good. That’s good.” He looked down for a second, not sure how to respond to that and then nudged her and smirked, “So, did you two…you know…?” He said with a wink.
Amiyah nearly squeaked and shook her head, “No we haven’t.”
He looked at her confused, “Why not? You think he’s the one. You’re married. What are you waiting for?”
“It’s… It’s complicated..” Amiyah spoke clearing her throat.
Dallas looked at her, “Do you want to talk about it?”
“No.” She spoke simply and looked ahead.
“Oh,” he said and sat there awkwardly, “okayyyyy….” He didn’t know what else to do.
“Sorry.” She spoke quietly.
Dallas looked at her, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay. Honest.” She spoke and looked over at him with a small smile.
Dallas leaned closer to her and smiled at her and gently placed his hand on her back, “I didn’t mean to intrude. I just want you to know that I’m here for you.”
“Thanks..” She spoke quietly, unsure what to say next.
He looked at her and couldn’t help but think about how beautiful she is. And suddenly before he realized what he was doing, he leaned in and kissed her.
Harrison walked up to meet Amiyah after taking the dogs to the groomers and on his way back went by a florist and got a bouquet of flowers for her. But when he saw her, he saw Dallas and her kissing and immediately dropped the flowers and backed away.
Amiyah’s eyes widened as she noticed him kiss her before pulling back. “What are you–” once she heard a bark she turned to see Harrison and immediately stood up and could feel her heart beating, “Ha-Harrison-”
Harrison felt tears spring to his eyes as he turned to walk the opposite way. He was speechless. He just couldn’t deal with this now.
Dallas was surprised himself when she pulled back and looked to see that Harrison has seen them, “I…I’m sorry..”
Amiyah could feel tears well up in her eyes shaking her head, beginning to hyperventilate. “I-I have to go.” She muttered to Dallas before quickly running to Harrison. “Harrison! Wait!”
Harrison wiped away a few of the tears the ran down his cheeks and shook his head, “I can’t do this right now, Amiyah.” He just kept walking faster as more tears replaced the ones he wiped away. He didn’t want to say something he’d regret so he just kept walking.
Dallas felt so helpless and stupid as he continued to sit on that bench and dropped his head into his hands. What did he just do?! That was all he could think as he sat there paralyzed in shock.
“N-no! No! Please listen to me!” She ran in front of him, “Please!”
Harrison turned, avoiding letting her see his face, not wanting to give up any more of his pride than he already had, “Just STOP Amiyah! I can’t do this right now. I’ll see you at home.” He wiped his face again and walked away still avoiding eye contact with her.
Amiyah nearly squeaked as he walked away. Tears falling down her face as she hyperventilated watching him walk away, “Please..”
