The one drawn is an Ink Minish child. Her name? She doesn't have one, so feel free to name her. I just drew her and finished her design today.
Ink Minish are minish who are from the Mightier than the Sword AU, a linksmeet AU who are writers (and artists for some of them) of various avenues. The ink minish are unique as they are and aren't like typical minish from Minish Cap. They are made up of ink, they work with ink in all forms, using it mainly to help budding writers and artists of all ages. They love to leave behind trails of ink or pawprints wherever they go. These markings will often be found in children's books being used as scene dividers and line breaks. Most minish will leave encouraging messages at the bottom righthand or lefthand corners of books to brighten someone else's day, these messages can be found on mostly anything and can be seen by anyone and everyone, even by those that can't see minish anymore. However, some messages are more secret than others as you have Vaati who is a minish who uses invisible ink. He leaves secret messages and secret drawings all over and within books for kids to find and making a game out of it, to see how many times he can be found. He pranks and vandalizes other people's stories and work but because you'll only see it under a blacklight, he doesn't actually vandalize everyone as the original story or artwork is undamaged so he can't be charged.
Ink minish are very helpful and often around writers and artists so some often have ink smudges randomly on their bodies, this is due to them just having eaten pencil lead, marker tips or ink cartridges. If they get food out of it, then that's just a bonus for them.
Since ink minish are constantly trailing ink from paws and tails, it's possible places they stand for a while get ink blots (puddles for babies and children), and they wear tall boots when going places secretly. then they either drink the ink that's left when they get home, or they use it to fill up big people's inkwells and colored ink pens, the price is that when the empty pen is too worn for continued use, it becomes dinner for the minish.
Adults and elders wear silver clothes. Babies and children wear whatever style and color they want them to be, but their hats are all silver regardless of age, as they mimic the tips, slit and tines of old-fashioned pen nibs. Some have ink smudges randomly on their bodies, this is due to them just having eaten pencil lead, marker tips or ink cartridges.
Children’s tails (like the one above) are messy and drip ink down their tails and from their hands and feet and that’s why there are puddles and stained fur. Adults have more control over the ink in their tails and paws as it’s a skill that needs to be taught, practiced and learned. Children like to draw and write on themselves be that with their own ink or a parent or siblings or friends’ ink. This is to help with drawing and writing skills and foster a child’s confidence, creativity and imagination.
With ink minish their tails change color with their inks as they age, but their furs reflect it more slowly. sticks mostly to the color of their parents when they're born, but then if they eat colored inks consistently it'll start to spread from their tails upward. As they get older as adults their ink colors on their tails gets darker before it becomes black as they become elders themselves.
They eat dyes, lead (including broken lead from wooden and mechanical pencils), marker tips and eraser scraps, as well as materials from broken pens, pencils, and markers. They drink ink carriages and eat them after they are drained dry, so it's both a drink and a snack in one.
