As the Minister of Magic, Tom Riddle is required to have a bodyguard. This frustrates him as he is powerful enough on his own. Top Auror Harry Potter is assigned to head his detail, but Tom does his best to ignore him, even going out of his way to avoid and antagonise his so-called protector.
However, despite how powerful and skilled at duelling he is, it doesn’t match active service, and Harry saves his life when he’s unexpectedly targeted by the vigilante group, the Order of the Phoenix, at a charity event.
After this, he takes much more interest in his bodyguard, who is much more skilled and able than Tom gave him credit for. He wants to pull Harry closer, gain his personal loyalty (and more). He wants to be Harry’s entire world.
But then he learns that, when off duty, Harry already has his own family he’s devoted to. Even so, Tom will not be deterred!
