do I like them: I SURE DO. second main son after shouto.

5 good qualities: his compassion, willingness to do what’s right even if it’s outside the rules, his resourcefulness, his courage to stand up for others, and his refusal to accept fate

3 bad qualities: self-sacrificing fool, absolutely reckless, and he doesn’t value himself

favourite episode/etc: I really love his scene with All Might when All Might tells him the truth about what Nighteye saw in his future and how he’s convinced he’s going to die soon. The panels where Izuku’s processing that information made me cry, and I think about it a lot.

otp: izushou baybee!!

brotp: because of current aus, he and tenko are really fun. but in canon, i love izuku and hatsume or he and kirishima! (ochako friendship is a given so just like Otherwise)

ot3: again, todoiideku fun

notp: bkdk

best quote: I know it’s simple, but “I will twist fate!” is one of my favorites. It really just sums up his whole approach to the world around him and how stubborn he is to save others. It captures both his strengths and flaws, and I just love that for him.

head canon: He’s handy! He loves working with his hands, so he’s into crafting and cooking and doodling and just anything to keep those hands busy.

Sokka

do I like them: Hell yeah

5 good qualities: he’s that laid-back genius type that’s so fun to watch, he’s open to growth, resourceful, he’s reliable, and obviously always great for a laugh

3 bad qualities: initial misogyny (but he learns quickly), he’s Smart but also throwback to the time he tried to forge a letter from Toph, and he can be cynical or pessimistic

favourite episode/etc: Love when he gets some sword training and gets his own unique weapon. Good shit, and a great display of his individuality and creativity. Boiling Rock is a very close second though.

80: “This isn’t my idea of a good time.” + 84: “Don’t tell me to shut up.”

“I still think this is a terrible idea,” Shouto hisses.

“No, it’s not. Trust me.”

“The last time you said to trust you, I spent three hourspicking feathers out of my hair.”

Izuku smothers a laugh into his palm, shoulders shaking and beanie sliding down the back of his head just enough to reveal that small, hidden freckle at the edge of his hairline. Shouto opens his mouth to tell him to stop laughing, but Izuku’s warm hand over his steals his air. “That was your fault for buying a feather duvet,” he wheezes.

“My hair, Izuku.”

Izuku gives up trying to stifle his laughter, belting out laughs that shiver up and down Shouto’s spine like he’s still a starry-eyed teenager just realizing he’s in love.

Shouto snatches his hand back and crosses his arms, grumbling something about ‘trying new things’ and ‘stupid brick shithouses’ while trying to smother a smile of his own. His heart thrums an unsteady beat in his chest.

A flash of white snags his eye, and he ducks lower behind the bush with a muffled curse, silencing Izuku’s laughter into a shit-eating grin. “Shit. Shit shit shit she’s right there! Why did I let you talk me into this?”

“Because you’re an annoying, overprotective brother and you’re wearing an actual groove into the hardwood with your pacing,” Izuku says, one eyebrow raised as if daring him to argue.

Shouto pins Izuku with a look, but not before a shriek of disbelief reaches them from across the street.

“Midoriya Shouto, get your ass out here!” Todoroki Fuyumi screams. Shouto groans and drops his face into his hands. Today is the day he dies, apparently.

Izuku starts to laugh again, but is abruptly yanked up by his collar. A choked, wheezing sound escapes lips that are quickly turning blue with lack of oxygen.

Shouto’s gaze travels from the dark, muscular arm locked around Izuku’s neck to long, silvery-white hair, to the half-angry, half-amused grin wrapping around white teeth and blazing red eyes.

“What, pray tell,” Miruko drawls, “could have possibly possessed you to crash my date?”

Izuku opens his mouth to reply when she loosens the grip around his neck ever-so-slightly.

“It wasn’t my fault!”

“Izuku, shut up!” Shouto hisses.

“Don’t tell me to shut up, this was your idea!”

“No, it wa—"

“Oh, really now?” Fuyumi somehow manages to sneak up behind Shouto and grab a handful of his braid, yanking it back hard enough to make him topple onto his ass and stare up at her from the ground.

“Ouch,” he deadpans.

“Don’t you ‘ouch’ me, mister. You crashed our date, that’s the least you deserve.”

“I—”

“Oh no you don’t. No excuses. You’re both coming with us and you’re carrying all the bags,” Miruko interrupts, releasing Izuku and giving him a slap on the back that sends him staggering forward several steps.

“Wh—” Izuku tries.

“But Nee-s—” Shouto pleads.

Fuyumi claps her hands together and spins on her heel. “Come along, children!”

Forty-five minutes later has Shouto and Izuku both carrying several bags filled with various weight sets, more school supplies than any one class should ever need in a year, and a surprisingly delicate-looking snow globe Miruko picked up with a hushed whisper of it reminds me of your hair. One blushing Fuyumi later, and the gift was boxed up and shoved into Shouto’s hands.

“I’m never letting you talk me into anything ever again,” he grumbles four hours later when he’s absolutely sure that his sister’s quirk isn’t ice, but making bags weigh ten times what they’re supposed to.

“This isn’t exactly my idea of a good time either, you know,” Izuku says, shifting a set of fifty-pound plates over his other shoulder.

“’It’ll be fine, Shou. We’ll hide and they’ll never see us. We’ve been on plenty of stealth missions harder than this. We’ll go and then you can stop freaking over whoever your sister is dating.’That’s what you said to me this morning, and now look where we are.”

“At least we’re together?” Izuku offers.

“I’m divorcing you.”

“I love you, too.”
