Thinking on hindsight stats and being on the winning team for 3/5 of the Monster Masquerades I participated in isn't half bad. I won Mothirella (Team Vampirella), Saccharine Swashbuckler (Team Pumpkin Pirate), and Ribbon Romantic (Team Graveyard Groom), but I lost on Weird Science (Team Weird Witch) and Marotte Morbus (Team Doctor Pester). ...Although if I won the latter, it would be a very short lived trophy.
Goatlings was on the mental backburner during 2023 and 2024 so I missed Deathly Growler vs Phantom Maestro and Abyssal vs Big Bad Red because I remembered Monster Masquerade in the middle of October. Nearly forgot again for 2025, but I remembered just in time, although I did a lot of events on crunch time because the November extension made me a bit lazy with it.
Solely based on items, I think I would've picked Phantom Maestro and Big Bad Red, which would've gotten me Grimmgill, but not Phantom Growler. I didn't get many of their items post-events besides the plushies, but someone did get me Big Bad Red's AD off of my wishlist for Giving Treat Wars last Masquerade.
To this day, I still question why I picked Weird Witch when I would end up hunting down a bunch of Evil Scientist's items later down the line. I think the only opposing Team items I hunted down later on for the other years were Mothman's BG and Ribbon Mummy's Hair Ribbons. And maybe the Marionette Hands if I had noticed them before the Goatlings Apocalypse.
