how does any version of tails gets his tails to spin

its supposed to work like helicopter blades but it doesnt actually make much sense unless you assume they arent actually attached to his body. aosth made the interesting choice of having him needs to wind up his tails before flying, which arguably makes even less sense, but i still enjoy it because its very silly
