Trying to experiment a little more with armour since I’ve been super into PvP and hope to draw some in the future! And I thought no better character to try it with than minute since h jsut reached 800k!

yknow iits very fitting that zam took inspiration from minute this season considering how much he idealizes his past self, granted just as minute and zam have different approaches to pacifism they also idealize s3!zam in different ways

minute idealized him cause he thought he was a hero, a saviour, a shining beacon of hope for the future that never gives up even in the face of impossible odds who would help everyone i any way he can no matter how futile and would never go on a random killing spree. embodying him fully was never the goal but nonetheless he tried to follow in his image in an attempt to project that image unto himself in order to make a name for himself, an image that he later came to a harsh realization was utterly distorted, a distortion that befell upon him as he stubbornly kept trying to reach out for it as he went face to face against who zam truly was and had become just as his attempt at pacifism slowly became degraded as zam kept playing his games with him over and over

zam on the other hand idealizes him as the embodiment of what lifesteal was about, of what he knows, what he knew, of what it was to be like to so sure of himself before everything he knew got ripped away from him. he thinks its still possible to go back to that time, to be able to take back what he was and yet a lot has changed -- no matter how much he wants the past to come back it doesnt change the fact that at the end of the day lifesteal has changed, that he's changed. not everyone wants to fight physically for what they believe in anymore, there's players with far different playstyles than everyone else who came before them, his past mistakes keep coming to haunt him, his past experiences influence his present self, ppl keep trying to control him. things are complicated complicated complicated and ppl who care about him hurt him and ppl who hurt him care about him and he cant even bring himself to kill 4c or kab despite really wanting to and despite the fact that he disagreed with them and despite the fact that one of his go-to mantras for several seasons now is to fight for what he believes in and to fight whoever disagrees. he can chase the ghost of his former self all he wants, to put the pieces back together again -- he has the bluprint after all, but at the end of the day its still nothing but a ghost and nothing will ever fit right ever again cause hes grown and hes changed and he keeps growing and changing and he cant go back to how it all used to be -- after all if he could then he wouldnt have been so insistent on being alone for so long, he wouldnt have given kab so many chances, and most of all he wouldnt have been so insistent on making sure the server keeps being functional

omg the post u rbed abt the admins.....smt i have been stuck on since it happened was spoke expressing his grievances w how the admins dealt w sb. like yeah he could definitely js have been being spoke, but it'd be BORING if we didn't throw theories and random thoughts out there for the sake of discussion ^-^

so like yeah. what specifically stuck out to me was throughout all of spoke's dramatics and over the top evil plans, he seemed to have a Genuine reason behind disliking how sb's maces was dealt w, like he argues that sb losing his maces / being punished for duping was an example of admin abuse since sb exploited "legitimately" (aka without hacking). since sb was punished for "legally" exploiting while minute, mapicc, and bacon were all on the team that had the mace AS admins and them being admins blurs the lines when it comes to dealing w exploits and such that affect them directly since it raises the question of whether they would've dealt w the situation differently if they were not personally, directly involved. like sb duping maces without the help of any hacks / clients gave an incredibly interesting opportunity for content that wasn't even entertained by the admins who took most of the maces away and punished sb HEAVILY for keeping the mace he did keep

and spoke's way of pushing them, whether it's intentional or not, seems to apply the most pressure to minute since he has been the admin who is most strict abt not letting anyone break rules, especially in regards to things like exploiting. like if spoke had mace hacked or leo fly hacked in front of him i don't know if he would've let it slide as easily as mapicc & bacon did based on what we have seen of his strictness as an owner and how mapicc has hid things from him bc he seemed to think minute wouldn't be nearly as okay w whatever mapicc is alright w. like the duping and timetravel w the img to map experiments.

i lost my train of thought so im sorry if this doesnt make sense LOL i js think spoke pushing and prodding at the admins (but specifically mapicc and minute) is such an interesting lil thing and it only makes me want to study him in a lab anymore ^-^

Spoke's crashout about the admins dealing with the mace is so fascinating to me too. It feels like a convenient excuse to do a plot against the admins, like classic lifestealer complains about something and it's their entire justification for an evil arc. #3ht deserved prison

ANd YEt. Spokeishere has such a specific resume when it comes to exploiting on lifesteal, and such a specific expectation that comes along with it. During the Dupe War, Parrot made them throw the dupes into the void and Spoke had to ban himself off for a week iirc, and had to jump into the void on one heart. But that was AFTER they got to fight the entire war. And during the wormhole when he spawned a warden on mapicc and zam's castle arc duel he got a week/month ban and potentially a /clear of his echest. At the very least he emptied the echest and buried it before getting banned (this time a console ban iirc)

So he's no stranger to the punishments of exploiting.

And if anything making players go down to 1 heart is not as bad as being banned and needing someone to revive you and being on 3 hearts then. (unless, wait i just got unconfident. were bans in s4 death bans or console bans. now i cant remember who revived spoke after the dupe war) And a console ban lets you keep hearts but realistically many players just don't log on for a week or month (or 8 months) anyway so the point of a console ban kind of has been lost. but i imagine it depends on the situation. But I think that's where the heart penalties we see this season came from.

Also after the dupe war team awesome had to go back to their original heart count and burn all dupes. obv mapicc and ro didn't do that lol but they never got caught for it.

Because on top of that, it has ALWAYS been the rule on lifesteal that no punishment is given until there is video evidence. It's been one of the things I admire about the admining of the server the most. Like it was clear spoke had exploited items, but until there was video proof of what and how, there was no punishment. It was clear that team awesome had duped items, but there was no proof until they saw the vault itself.

And SB just... posted a youtube video. Fully explaining how he went around server rules and got more maces.

Before that Mane didn't get a ban for using his mace because there was a potential for content and there was no video evidence exposing how he got it. he just had it. it didn't matter that it was clearly exploited, there was no proof it was him that exploited.

But, again, SB full on posted a video. So the punishment could not be avoided.

And so Spoke crashing out about it is interesting bc if anything SB was the one who fumbled the bag by not understanding lifesteal culture.

and that's just so interesting. Because Spoke is basically arguing as we would argue, that that punishment wasn't interesting and therefore unfair.

It's all about the content and the story that happens. And Spoke has one of the best eyes for content out there.

But I do think, ooc, Spoke gets why the punishment went down the way it did. or he doesn't, it's not like i can read his mind. but I think it's a character excuse to do the world ending. Which doesn't make it less real, it's just server fun politics.

BUT MINUTE. oh minutetech. Like him specifically being admin is so so interesting. He's SO upright and justified and pure about the server rules, never feeling the slightest inkling for temptation.

That has NOT been the historic case for admins on lifesteal. Mapicc, admin abused s1. Parrot s2, told spoke to break the server rules and build an illegal wither farm. idk what Parrot did s3 admin wise, i just don't remember, but he did keep all the hearts Tubbo dropped stating he wanted "the biggest bang for my buck" and wanted to make the end more interesting by stubbornly keeping the hearts. The little adrenaline junkie. And s4. Have you watched the released vod of spoke getting Ash creative mode? Parrot was SO excited to try out exploits, immediately thinking of ways it could affect the server and the content in the most /excited way possible. But to Parrot, the chaos was FUN.

And then s5 ash and spoke were owners and they did plenty of questionable things, though, interestingly, and something I've never pointed out, was how harsh Spoke specifically was to Parrot that season when Parrot broke all the server rules. He immediately shut it down and gave Parrot no leniency, and gave Mapicc a treasure hunt in order to get Parrot unbanned. There was no simple console banning for a week, no losing of hearts, it was he's banned until Mapicc collects all these items. It was a content idea, but it also felt so surreal to dangle the unban around content. especially since Spoke got off, all things considered, rather leniently every other time he cheated. Maybe you can call it the cheater's heart knowing they got away with too much and exacting the kinds of punishments they expected to get. It was so interesting. But then again, Parrot did some of the rule breaking in front of Spoke and so Spoke had to do something. There was evidence.

But through all these different owners, the one thing an owner has never been is "good". They are all chaotic and/or evil leaning players.

And so minute is a fascinating creature to watch.

And it makes sense why Spoke is at Minute's throat. They are just perfect opposites in a way Spoke has never had to deal with.
