Artisan approached the luxurious building where the party he was invited to was being hosted at. Before entering he presented the invitation he received to the door greeter before he entered where bright lights shined, music played from the orchestra band in the front.

There were many people dancing and talking among themselves, Artisan started to feel slightly out of place with the nicely dressed people and he came in his steampunk work outfit. 

There was no helping it, as a waiter passed by with a tray, he took one of the champagne tall glasses before giving it a small swirl. 

Artisan sipped down his drink before he made a retreat to the wall interior to relax against as he watched the people continue with their night. 

What was he doing in a place like this? He wasn't rich like these people nor was he that important to be noticed. He could easily slip away if he truly wanted to. But it would be rude to the host of the party if he didn't show. Or if he left now. 

Artisan sighed. “Honestly.. “ 

“Honestly what”? 

He turned his face to the person greeting him. “Honestly…  you can't enjoy a party if you stay glued to that wall all night”. 

A small smile came on Artisan’s lips. “Think of the devil and he shall be summoned. How are you Phantom”? 

Phantom returned the smile as he leaned against the wall with his shoulders barely touching on Artisan. 

“I have been better. I am surprised to see you here. I for sure would have assumed you were going to reject”. 

Artisan shrugged. “ It seemed rude to reject it. You went out of your way to invite me”. 

“Hmm why wouldn't I invite a good friend? Did you just come from work”? 

Phantom's fingers dragged along the reddish coat. “You could have dressed up a little”. 

Artisan gave a shy grin. “ I just didn't want to be late”. 

Phantom shook his head and released him. “You are too considerate”. He said before turning forward. “Can I get you a drink”? 

Artisan hummed before finishing his glass of champagne before handing the empty glass to Phantom. 

“I appreciate it”. 

Phantom left to hunt down one of the waiters to grab two new glasses. 

The two continue to chat about their days and work. 

Phantom let out a chuckle. “So you are telling me, an elderly man brought his pocket watch in, and all it needed was some cleaning”? 

Artisan couldn't help but chuckle as well. “Any simple person could have cleaned the water, but I understand with his concerns, devices like those are delicate things”. He said as he finished his third? No fourth? Maybe a fifth glass of champagne. 

Phantom's eyes wandered over Artisan's body from the details on his outfit to the hands wrapped around the tall glass. A lump swallowed down his throat before raising the glass to his own lips to avoid eye contact with the other male’s fingers delicately tracing the glass when his lips were not attached.
