This was supposed to be one of those spoopy beta args that were so in vogue last year, but this is the only part that ever got made. Kind of a shame, really, as even if the error screen indicated an implausibly-robust clash handler for the day, the made-up sequence near the end really does have the look and feel of an old-school cutscene, nailing the particular brand of visual storytelling that that implies.
