Sometimes I feel there's a hole inside me, an emptiness that at times seems to burn. I have this dream of being whole, I'm not going to sleep each night wanting but.. still sometimes.. When the wind is warm and the crickets sing - I dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for.

MiqoMarch Day 04–Pet

When big brother is away, that's when I get the whole house to play!

Since big brother isn't here reading in his favorite chair, guess it's my turn to steal his spot!

As the afternoon stretches on, nap time is best spent in the sunniest spot in the house or by the warm fireplace!

And when big brother returns home, I go out to greet him because he'll always be happy to see me just as I'm happy to see him!

I always flop over to get all the belly scratches from him!

Life with big brother is the best! <3

My guardian once told me that the family I was born into doesn’t mean I have to consider them that throughout my life.

My older brother and sisters never made me feel welcomed and made it clear that I was nothing but a disgrace to our family name.

Looking back, I’m sure the only reason why I tried so hard to please them was because they were all I had and I didn’t know anything different.

Despite my best efforts to get on their good graces, I would always end up hurt or shamed—no matter what I did, I could never belong.

And then, when I arrived to Eorzea and met my friends, I finally felt the warmth of what a family is truly like. People who cared, who expected nothing of me except to be myself or didn’t scorn me for things I had little control over…

The biggest take away was having someone there to greet me warmly after arriving home…it was and will always be, the best feeling.

I’ll admit, it was a little overwhelming at first—but I knew it was something I didn’t ever want to lose. My found family became my true family.”
