Mashima: *makes Lucy the person Natsu likes spending most time with, gives Lucy the most significant reactions to Natsu's state/actions, makes Lucy think about Natsu for 90% of the final arc, makes Lucy the reason for Natsu's transformation into END, draws cute NaLu doodles, gives them tons of moments in the most recent canon movie, says that he's writing them in a more than friends less than lovers way, includes them in every single thing he does for the semi-canon couples, clears stuff up when the fandom panics about the possibility of NaLu never becoming romantic - saying that it was his previous intention (just like how FT was supposed to end at like volume 10) and hints that his current one is different, highlights NaLu's reunion in the second last chapter and gives them a Tadaima/Okaeri moment*

Some People: OMG, I hope Mashima doesn't asspull NaLu in the final chapter!!1!!!

the only reason i've consistently & very actively stayed on this site for 10 years as a creative was because of how notes functioned , and it being removed is going to fracture everything & make long-standing users far less likely to post or even make those users leave . i haven't given any money to tumblr aside from my activity keeping ads up, but now i certainly won't be giving money to a site actively harming their decades-long userbase for the sake of adhering to other SNS's bland & actively harmful layouts 😨
