Thoughts on Alan Davis ?

Hi nonny.

So I love his art style...even if one more knowledgeable can tell me "mun, he just makes everyone hot, anyone can do that" I don´t doubt but Alan Davis as a special way to do so. Yes, his style has flaws as sometimes the women seem to be too similar to each other, but on the other hand, is thanks to Alan Davis that people think Kurt is this Greek god of sex.

I googled his name to see if there´s any controversy and....the stint about Miracleman I knew (Moore wasn´t a nice guy, I think) Moore sort of stole his idea, Cap Britain, and well to sum up Alan got nothing. Friendship ended.

I don´t think people ever mentioned this about Alan Moore.

In the end, I think Alan is more known as an artist than a writer. His art is good (at least for the time period). I also wonder if he knew how old Kitty was or if he was allowed to guess and decided "fuck it, she is 20 or up")

In a way, I pity him because he genuinely wanted to do something new with Cap Britain (Claremont wrote it first, but Alan Davis is the one who revamped the character as we know) and surely wanted to do something better....but he ended up being the butt of jokes, especially for the Nightcrawler fandom.

I dont think any of the British team of writers realized how Excalibur was a fucked up team (or...maybe they did?). Also interesting how Kurt has no mercy to give to Brian, who lost his sister when Kurt is facing the same thing.

"Mun, Brian is an ass." I´m not denying that. I´m not saying Kurt and Brian should be BFFs...but if you are the so-called heart and you see a man drowning in alchool bc he lost his sister...kindness is not that impossible. I remember seeing the panel of Kurt facing Brian and how people here clap their hands. "Mun, did you want Kurt to be a pushover?" No, but he lost his sister too...just show some mercy here. It seems more like Kurt holds resentment over Brian (for being human and having a white woman) than anything else.
