Two Points of Light

Amidst a sea of stars, silently floating through the depths of space was a particularly luminous comet—or that’s what observers from the surface of a planet would have called it. In truth, it was more like an asteroid, completely comprised of crystal. Like a diamond wandering through the sky, it drifted about aimlessly.

“Ah wait, that’s—” Luminous white hair—so white it seemed to emit it’s own light—fell around a youthful face. Prismatic eyes with all seven hues of the visible spectrum of light in a ring within her irises. Taking a step forward, the Essence of Light gracefully made her way to the oddity she had encountered as she wandered through this vacuum. As she strode towards what had caught her eye, the comet she had been riding slowed to a halt with no regard for the laws of physics. The light the colossal crystal emitted shone upon the crystalline carapace of the dormant Emissary.

“Is that not...?” She muttered, peeking over a large crystal that jutted out from the surface of the comet. “...Another of us?!” She gasped as she took a step in the direction of Celia, but instead of a single step towards the sleeping woman, she would instantly be floating at her side.

Curious eyes peered down at the other, unaware of her dormant state. “Hello? Are you there? Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. There’s no need to be afraid, I’m a friend!” As she spoke, a delicate hand would reach out to touch the Void crystal, dainty fingers connecting with its reflective surface.
