I love the Mirak aspects of the Dragonborn questline, but…
…there was so much missed potential????
Hear me out.
The FIRST Dragonborn and the LAST Dragonborn, fated to meet. TWO Dragonborns existing at the same time??? Unheard of.
Mirak kicked off the Great Dragon Wars. The Last Dragonborn is fated to end them.
Imagine tying that up with a neat little bow.
Imagine Alduin’s astonishment when there is not only TWO Dovakiin, but one is the most powerful to exist up to the other one.
Mirak walked the earth in the time of the dragons and Dragon Preists. He’s literally a relic of a dead time???
PLEASE GOD BETHESDA WE COULD HAVE HAD SO MUCH!!!!
Anyway, been thinkin a lot about Skyrim lore lately, can you tell?
Mirak Frigate from Starfleet Command II, 2000.
What do the Shivering Isles And the Dragonborn DLCs have in common?
They are both about Kin Drama.
Basic T h e m Info
Info on T h e m, and the T h e m-iverse that @crimson-r and I have created.
Also known as Hordak's Species or Space Bats.
They're the ruling species of the Horde under Horde Prime. The Prime clones act as a military backbone yes but there's natural, and unnatural, born members of the species all throughout the cosmos.
They're competitive super predators that hate you personally. Just like the society they created they're by and large rather evil creatures that will do what it takes to get what they want.
Many are part of the upper echelons of Horde society. A nobility of sorts. From system lords to respected and well known science directors. Many top positions in the Horde Empire are filled by T h e m.
And the Horde is so unbelievably massive that many can run their little corners of the universe however they see fit.
There are lower castes though, lower breeds. Engineered for specific tasks in the Horde. Assassins and the like.
They're strong and fast and pretty dang big. Six foot is considered very short for T h e m and a human is a rather weak little creature in comparison.
They have excellent night vision and can echolocate because they're bats but using that skill isn't incredibly common in the era of high technology.
Cybernetic enhancements are actually fairly common in order to gain the physical edge over ones opponents.
They also come in many colors! Take your pick! Make your Evil Bat your own!
If you want stories here's the Hera/Mirak Saga Masterpost which has a number of stories under its belt.
Here are some example of T h e m for this post.

Her Most Noble Highness, Mother of Conquests, The Praetor of Karva, Consul of Serran, Regina Pantarax, Her Most Regal Majesty Madame Hera.
A high ranking member of the Horde Nobility within her Galaxy. She prefers politics and subterfuge to the direct violent conquest that most of her peers seem to favor.
Pleasure Mistress Hedone.
Hedone cares not for conquest or politics. She does not play those games. The Pleasure Mistress' empire exists to allow those who do care about such things to enjoy themselves and indulge in their appetites as they desire.
ESS-1172/Mirak
She is not a noble. Far from it. Executive Solutions Specialist 1172 is a born and bred assassin. Birthed from synthetic womb upon a Horde Blackship and raised for her work.
She is of a violent utilitarian breed. ESS revel in their work and care only for solving the problems of the Horde.
The Executive Solution to most problems is of course violence.
Helios, Hades, and Mercury.
Explanations in image. They operate in the same areas and argue a lot.
Also Dogs.
I havent drawn Mirak in how many years?
