Bridgette always dreamed of going to the surface world. Although she wished, she never did. Comfortable with her state. But she would if given a chance. Exploring the great unknown. And like as if her wish is granted, she helped a fish that was stuck on a stray fishing line. The fish offered to grant her greatest desire but she refuses. She leaves the little fish and unbeknownst to her the little fish gifts her a set of human legs. She washes up to the beach confused. In a strange new world with new appendages she decides to take this opportunity to explore. It seems like as if when she's in water would her tail appear, and on land would her legs return. One day she met a prince named Felix. On accident. He saved her from a young lady who almost took advantage of her. She wondered about him, who he is, where he's from. Soon after she became infatuated. So much so she wishes to marry him.
As Bridgette is swimming one night she was caught in a fisherman's net. They haul her into the boat. And because she was not on land nor in sea, she's helpless as her tail refuse to disappear. Fear grip her heart. Their sharpened knives point at her. She closes her eyes and prays and lo and behold, an unlikely hero comes to the rescue. Perhaps a cat, or maybe a man??? She does not know. The men jump ship and swam for their lives after being threatened by the hideous monster. Bridgette stares at him. And so did the monster at her, seeming just as confused of her existence as well. And this is how she's introduced to the cursed man. A werecat the people call, Chat Noir.
