Agent Carter Soundtrack -- 2/18
1x02 BRIDGE AND TUNNEL
Where’s that really old meta praising ms fry for how even though she’s a bit insufferable and old fashioned, when an entire platoon of cops barges in she still insists on due procedure even for girls she doesn’t necessarily like?
Peggy: I can explain!
Miss Fry: Can you?
Peggy: I can if you give me thirty seconds to think up a lie?
Agent Carter According to My Friend Who’s Never Seen It @bee-thegoodguys
- Peggy and Jarvis are like.,., a buddy cop duo and they have a mission... something to do with aliens and Howard Stark cause Howard got himself into a shit load of trouble
- Peggy lives with Angie and a bunch of other girls and for some reason they’re controlled by this bish who’s in control of the place even though the amount of control she asserts over them should probably be illegal and she keeps kicking people out for breaking the rules
- there’s this crazy spy named Dottie and she’s gay and she kisses people and knocks them out with her poison lipstick
- Angie is Italian and her family are... drug dealers?
- Angie had a few girlfriends before Peggy
- Angie is a waitress but she wants to be an actress on Broadway
- Season 2 sucks and Peggy’s in a love triangle in LA with Sousa and a scientist
- Peggy’s fighting style is very chaotic and she hits people with staplers
- Angie has a lot of brothers
- Angie and Peggy are pretty gay for each other
I want to send like a million Agent Carter AUs so here goes: LIBRARIAN AU?
Heeeeee, I don’t mind! <3 I don’t think I’ll manage all of them, but they are such lovely inspiration. :D
Welcome to the town library for Shield Grove, pop. 30,000 or so.
The library is run by Miriam Frye, or as everyone calls her (not to her face), Battleaxe. One thing about it, though – she is THE BEST at squeezing funding for their cash-strapped medium-sized-town library out of the tight-fisted city council. It is very hard to say no to Miriam.
Peggy is your basic librarian. She does a lot of outreach stuff and all the kids love her.
There are rumors about her ~mysterious past~ before she came to town, but no one really knows for sure, except a few things she’s said have hinted that she’s traveled more widely than your typical librarian and there’s also that rumor about the time she almost broke a guy’s arm when she caught him trying to sneak a videotape past the security sensors, though no one is sure if it’s true or not.
Daniel works in the back doing bookkeeping. He’s a disabled Afghanistan veteran who got a job at the library after he got out of the service, and mostly he’s kind of shy and no one seems to know him very well.
Jack is an administrator who was shoehorned in against Miriam’s wishes because his uncle is on the city council and he needed a job even though he knows literally NOTHING about libraries.
Miriam hates him.
Peggy (validly) resents him because that was supposed to be her job; she was going to be promoted, but then the city council made Miriam take him in return for funding a grant to replace the library roof.
Jack can’t believe he’s stuck at a small library in the middle of nowhere. He had a FUTURE, dammit. Now he’s got PTSD and a drinking problem and a job working at a library, which he mostly half-asses his way through.
Peggy can’t believe she has to work for this asshole.
This particular AU contains fewer spy shenanigans than a typical Agent Carter AU and is really more like Parks & Rec at a library. XD
I just have this feeling that Miriam Fry would adore Bucky Barnes. Everything else in Peggy's life: chaotic, messy, unrefined, against the law. And then you've got Bucky, revered war hero, walking right into the Griffith to see Peggy, respecting the rules, and saying stuff like "yes ma'am". Miriam lowkey ships it which is especially funny bc there's nothing romantic between Peggy and Bucky.
Ms Frye is also Lily Aldren's mother. I feel like she was also the mother of the spoiled twin girls getting married season 1 of Gilmore Girls.
