Zastur’s force potential and capability for learning went to his head quickly at a young age, and no amount of Jedi training was going to stem that. Perhaps this is some kind of argument against treating child prodigies like they’re the best things since sliced bread before they’ve even cut said bread.
Zastur never knew his father. All he knew from his mother was that his dad was a powerful force user and exceptionally good gambler. He did not hold a grudge against the parent he never knew. Growing up in the arm pit of the galaxy meant that he let go of a lot of grudges due to self preservation instincts.
