How tf are ppl able to keep their homes clean on a regular basis. I just deep cleaned the litterbox mats and mopped the floor in the kitchen and bathroom and im legit drenched in sweat rn.

And my home still looks like a mess despite all that work. Fuck this shit man.

Legit cannot comprehend that there are artists out there who genuinely prefer adobe photoshop.

Like my work computer is a brand new fucking macbook and this joke of a bloatware struggle just to open.

I just lost half a day of work because it spend half an hour trying to open a psb file.

If i was a teenager and unsure about a lot of stuff regarding life stuff, the last thing i would want as a response is “you can do whatever you want forever uwu”.

Like its just as vague and unhelpful as “maybe” or “it depends” etc.

Imagine if i got that response when i realized i had an addiction in my early 20s, and too scared to fully admit it to people? Like do yall even think before you type? Of course you dont. You just dont wanna admit you dont have an answer so you throw up some phrase you see your peers say without further thought.

the fact that oil painting youtube is filled with just as many clickbaity junk as digital art youtube is just so exhausting.

Like 89% of the advice is stuff i already know (values, form vs shape, soft vs hard, use referencesbla bla) so there comes a point where i can predict the content of a video with a vague title like “top ten worst art mistakes!!” that i just dont bother watching them. Like right now the most useful videos i find on oil painting that doesnt irritate me with fluff are several years old videos done by old ppl who arent completely monetize-pilled.

I should just buy a book on the subject. Hopefully ill find one that’s published before 2023 and not written by some ai

you know its fun (and furstrating) to see ppl finally accept that the inly actual useful way to “protect” your art online is the stuff i have done and recommended over and over; dont post hi-res. include both a visible and hidden watermark. But nooooo yall gave me 100000 reasons to why you dont wanna add even a signature on your works until now. I told ya to watermark your art. “its not gonna stop thieves :(“ WATERMARKING ISNT ABOUT THEFT ITS ABOUT LETTING PPL KNOW WHO TF MADE THIS RANDOM ARTWORK THEY FOUND IN SOME OBSCURE FORUM.

you should watermark your art even before we had to deal with ai scraping. No excuses. If you want ppl to find you via your art, you add your fucking signature (a READABLE signature). People will not know you from just your art style alone.

I’n already seeing videos and posts about Inktober so here is my annual reminder that:

- you do not have to participate if you don’t want to or can’t

- art challenges like these are not a contest, it’s a marathon

- Most ppl wont finish the challenge and that’s totally fine and normal

- It’s not healthy nor should it be expected to push yourself to draw a full artwork every day.

Most artists can start and finish an artwork in one day, but most will not be able to do that routine for 31 days in a row unless it is already a part of their daily routine.

If making a finished piece once a day isnt part of your everyday routine then challenges like Inktober will be absolute hell for you. You will feel like a failure for losing steam after a few days or a week in, or injure your drawing hand from pushing yourself every day - and no art challenge in the world is worth damaging your body. full stop.

Inktober, and similar art challenges, are just a stress-test/crunch the way they are today. In a better world, Inktober would have included September and November. September would be “Sketchtember” for planning and sketching all the pieces, and November would just be the current “huevember” where you color the drawings you inked during inktober. That’s how a healthier art challenge should be done.

I am currently in a VERY stressful situation with my job - i love my job but we are tight on time for this current project (hopefully we wont have to crunch but it is still tight)- and i cannot stress this enough but the last thing i wanna think about right now is if i should sell prints on my free time.

I dont sell prints. I dont even wanna sell prints or merch. Please stop asking me about it. Because i am not that kind of artist.

Like, i am mostly pretty chill w ppl being really into a show and post and talk a lot about it. If it makes them happy then thats good. My only requirements are the following:

- tag your posts especially when you are mass reblogging

- don’t repeatedly tell me to watch the show. Even if you know i would like it. even if it is good. If i said no, then that is a no.

There are shows and media that have for a very long time been repeatedly suggested to me in one way or another. Those shows end up in my “This is almost annoying me” list. On the top of that list is One Piece. (Second place used to be homestuck but fortunately that actually ended so it is no longer everywhere i go)

The “luffy” tab that is apparently just an ad that netflix paid tumblr to force on users. They couldnt just buy normal ad space in the dashboard feed like normal. No. They really want to force me to look at a One Piece character tag against my will.

For you who dont use mobile; there is this feature/glitch where you are randomly moved to the “for you/your tags” tabs whenever you go to the home section after checking your notifications or profile. So you have to occasionally swipe two or three times to get back to your regular dashboard.

Now imagine this scenario but you are constantly moved to the “luffy” tab.

You cannot just ignore it on the ios app. You are literally forced to have it shown to you whenever you wanna go back to your dashboard. See how this is making me quite uhm… angry? :) this is legit hell for me. This is the last straw on the monkey d luffy’s hat. One piece has moved from “wow this is annoying me” to the “yeah okay i genuinely do not like this”.

This is not going to make non-op fans wanna watch your shitty ass netflix show. Fuck one piece. I wished it would end already. I used to not care but now i actually cannot stand it. This ip wont leave me the fuck alone.
