Have you ever looked in a mirror? Did your reflection look back?
Based on a concept that's been in my head for a VERY long time. This is Elppa Black! Apple's opposite doppelganger from a mysterious mirror she found in the Dark woods after being invited to a party. Elppa is all of apple's colors on the opposite side of the spectrum, and I love her a lot.
The other's find her very creepy when she first arrives without much of a personality, and while she slowly develops her own, she's still very appear-behind-you scary. I love her a lot and my brain has not let me forget about her.
Da Snowman... I would like to request lore and a happy ending for him...
Some random bits of Snowman (Cryo!Charlie) lore:
In his universe, he has no magical pact with Laika, and thus no magical-girl-esque transformation for more power or anything like that.
Due to his biology being based around ice powers, his appetite is actually lower than that of humans- which kind of sucks for him because he does enjoy food a lot. That's why if he has any, he will take his time and savor it.
Boi is cold. Physically and emotionally. If you're gonna shake his hand, at least one of you should probably wear gloves. It probably doesn't help he's unused to physical contact being a good thing, so he probably wouldn't let you shake his hand anyway.
Unlike the explosive and hard-hitting attacks of his firey counterpart, his way of fighting is more based around trapping opponents in ice and wearing them down until they have no energy left to defend themselves, consistent with his duty of capturing monsters for Chorus Inc. That said, if you really piss him off he'll go straight to trying to shank you with icycles.
Trust issues are difficult, but not impossible to overcome. It's gonna take some time and lots of patience, though.
As for a happy ending- he does eventually meet Tikki (who in that universe is a large pangolin lady who transforms into a sea monster) and she's able to help him get out of the situation he's in- not without a lot of struggles along the way, of course, but he'll get there.
Today, I wanted to draw dragons, so I'm sharing another of my AU with you. In this one, Izuku doesn't have a quirk and gets harassed like in canon, until the day when (he was still in elementary school) he meets an old multidimensional dragon after falling in a puddle while fleeing Bakugo and his clique.
Izuku arrives on the territory of the dragon which lives in a reality apart from the humans one. There are some differences between the two.
The two become friends (if one can say that, the dragon is especially amused and curious of Izuku who cannot close his mouth after recovering from the shock of the meeting). The dragon doesn't have a name, so Izuku ends up naming it Ryūza, in reference to the dragon's constellation.
Ryūza has no defined size, so it can perfectly overhang a city as it can be small enough to wrap itself around Izuku's neck. When they met, Ryūza was really big, and Izuku almost had a heart attack when his shadow covered the street where he was.
The dragon is made of shadow and smoke, and the light isn't reflected on his body.
The dragon lets Izuku come as he pleases, and any reflection can be a passage between the two realities. So, Izuku pretends that it’s his new quirk and he is categorized as a warper.
The problem, is that he can' t control opening gates, so every time a surface is smooth enough to be used as a mirror, if Izuku is close, it will become a portal. So he has to be careful where he walks to avoid inadvertently passing into a reflection. (This has already happened) To see what he looks like, he has to take a picture of himself. He is the only one who suffers the effects, though.
Most of the time, Ryūza stays on its territory, but nothing prevents it from interacting on both sides. In human reality, it will not be as powerful as on its territory, but it can still project its shadows and interact via reflections. His shadow is often seen next Izuku's, even if, most of the time, it's not very perceptible.
In the Ryūza's reality, the only living beings (fish, reptiles, mammals or others) are Izuku and the dragon. Izuku can observe the other one reality through mirrors, which is very useful for his future hero work and for avoid Bakugo.
love that non-orphaned Kaibros AU, also I’m wondering if a Seto raised in a better environment would wind up with a more practical-functional approach to his own mental health. alt Seto going through cabinets like ‘Mokuba, I can’t find your brother’s medication, isn’t he on any?’ Mokuba ‘he maybe should be, but his current psychiatric strategy is Yell About Feelings While Playing Card Games’
oh for sure, he’s much better at handling his own mental health. mokuba especially loves the way he insists on getting eight hours of sleep a night. in general alt!seto is completely baffled by his counterpart’s life. yuugi and co. catch him up on what normal kaiba gets up to and he’s like “why would i be so mean to you guys?? you guys are my BEST FRIENDS” and joey’s like “wait, can you say that again? i forgot to hit record”
Some gif previews of the mini project (to be revised)..
The progress of this game has been quite slow (especially with RL getting in the way, sorry) but we're nearing to full completion. What we have remaining to do is make sure the story links up, bug fix, add some UI stuff, replace the sprite sheets of the old versions of the characters Rin's revised with the new ones, add some UI stuff (The start menu that goes into the game, and link it to the options menu, basically), and populate the levels with the background characters. Hnn I have thought of a mirror!universe Flinty (or negaverse? i forget the exact rules for that-)
Mirror!Flinty is kind, soft-spoken, all-too self-sacrificing and smart but easily led by other more strong-willed people. Would do anything for his loved ones (something I’m sure mirror!Scrooge would take advantage of)-
Also mirror!Flinty is genuinely dangerous and will kill to protect those he loves.
He saw it in the reflection of one of the large puddles stagnating on the ground. It was only a shadow, a mass of darkness in the night using its serpentine shape to glide over the walls and envelop the whole scene in its coils.
It was not really present, however. Just in the background, undetectable, pretending to be a spectator while Izuku tried as best he could to avoid the assault of his assailant.
But if Izuku could see it, it meant that the portal was stable enough to pass to the other side. That he finally had an exit for himself and the child in his arms.
"But would it accept the girl?"
Without warning, the guy swooped down on him, pulling him out of his thoughts. His arm rippled again to alter its shape, fingers taking on a metallic hue as they lengthened, joints cracking and reshaping to form a sharp claw.
Izuku had no choice but to step back to avoid the first blows, putting more distance between him and his exit door.
