14 pieces of mirror. Etched with a photo in it.
I wanted to create a piece that would combine aesthetically pleasing and at the same time disturbing imagery. I wanted to use mirrors in order to encourage the viewer to look in to it. However the mirror this time is not a center of attention. I have left a lot less unhatched space this time, purposely to make this peace slightly different. In this case the mirror works more as a frame. I wanted to combine women and beautiful objects such as flowers and Fruit. I picked a petite model and a more fuller figured model. I wanted to create a contrast between bodies. I kept the size small in order to keep the intimacy with in the work. Similar to the work form semester 1 ( 10 x 10 cm mirrors.)
@mwjstudio 3 sets of etched mirrors series are still available from "All Night Every Day". 2 of the sets are a series of 6 and there is 1 set of 5. #markwarrenjacques #whitewallssf #mirroretching
