he    should    know    better    than    to    venture    out    into    the    woods    alone ,    but    the    prince   has   always    had    a    TASTE    for    danger .    and    it’s   become   a    thirst    which    was    becoming    exceptionally    more    difficult    to    quench    now   that    his    mother    had    started    doubling    the    guards    who    escorted   him    everywhere .    a    quick    sleeping    draft    had    DEALT    with   that    problem    tonight ,    though ,    and   while    he    doubts    he    will    have    long    before    someone    chases    after    him ,   he    HOPES    that    he    can    get    at    least    slightly    closer    to   finding    a    person   that   could    help    him .    the    plan    seemed    perfect    then ,     but   now ,   with   a    BLADE    pressed   to    his    throat ,    he’s    starting    to    wonder    whether    he    should    have    bought    at    least    one    man    with    him .     ❝  let   me    go !  ❞    he   huffs   as    gloved    hands    reach    for    the    hilt    of    his    sword    and    TEAR    it    away    from    his    body .  ❝  i    won’t    hesitate    to   kill    you    if    i    need    to  . ❞

it’s  quite  interesting  actually,  my  little  carbon  copy,   ----   the  return  of  gaze,  doe  eyes  peering  into  mine.  not  quite  wistful.    “  fucked  up  is certainly  one  way  to  put  it.  ”    words  escape  faster  than  intended.   the best she can.   i  almost  can’t  help  but  snicker,  slight  pull  of  straight-lipped  brims.  what  am  i  to  do  with  you,  little  impersonator  ?  IMPOSTER.  you’re not who you say, but neither am i.  WHO  ARE  YOU  ?  you’re  certainly  not  love  quinn,  albeit  striking  resemblance.  my  intention  is  not  to  scare  you  off,  despite  otherwise  cold  exterior.    “  i  think  you  have  a  lot  of  explaining  to  do.  ”

From where he stood, the darkness of the night revealed naught she would not speak out loud.

“  i  didn’t  think  you’d  actually  show.  ”    was  that  surprise  lining  reminiscent  tone  ?  of  course,  the  warlock  mailed  a  forlorn  letter  to  an  old  friend,  hardly  expecting  a  response,   ----   especially  in  the  form  of  a  visit.  however,  he  wasn’t  one  to complain.  the  devil  loves  company,  no  ?  blink  of  chocolate  pools,  refusal  to  meet  her  gaze  ;  remained  glued  to  the  newspaper  occupying  his  grasp.  headlines  read  :  DECEMBER  10th,  2020.  what  a  dreadful  time  to  be  alive.  or  undead.    “  modernity  seems  to  suit  you.  ”

———  adam can’t help the way that he laughs. the way that a manicured brow shoots skyward at the female’s inquiry. it’s amusing, truthfully. a light shrug of the shoulders, followed by the blond taking another sip of the crimson wine in his glass. DOES he ever stop being a prick? on occasion, yes. is this one of said occasions? no, not at ALL.              “ no. ”  it’s a simple word, one laced with arrogance as cranium tilted in an almost feline-like manner.  “ no, i do not. being a prick is one of my hobbies, my dear. most young women happen to LIKE it. ”  LIAR.

      𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚕𝚏’𝚜 𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚔 𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚒𝚛𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗. as of late she’d been offering him different foods. most being successful but the mere smell causes the wolf to bury his nose. then blue eyes lift toward the human . . . he hadn’t meant to upset her. but in this form especially are his senses ever heightened. the smell is off . . . maybe she doesn’t realize. nudging at the dinner he scoots it back in her direction before blue eyes lower to the grass. as if to apologize he makes his way to her before nuzzling against her leg. she means well, she always had . . . but everyone makes mistakes, right?
