No original picture today as I wanted to share this render of part of the 2nd phase of the Fairfield redevelopment which will include the landscaping of the college green. . The plan is to include a mirror pool which having visited Bradford a few times I always thought would be a great thing to have in our town. Funny thing was it was at the time our Westfield had been proposed and Bradford's proposed Westfield was a big hole in the ground. It did eventually get built, has been open for a few years now but isn't a Westfield so there's hope for our Whitgift hopefully. . The second picture is the mirror pool in Bradford which probably is larger than ours will be but a great example of a good execution of such an amenity. Okay, so I had some weird kind of interaction occur last FNM I went to. So I have an Avatar of the Resolute on the field. My opponent casts Dragonlord Atarka, wanting to deal 4 damage to my Avatar. I flash in Avacyn in response, to give it indestructible. He then activates his Mirrorpool, to clone Atarka, and deals 5 to Avacyn. He claims that based on how the stack works here, Avacyn dies immediately and its abilities don't trigger, so both my creatures die. This cant be the case, can it!?

It’s not.

He has a few options here: Make a token Atarka to kill your Avatar before Avacyn resolves, make a token Atarka to kill Avacyn or Avatar before Avacyn’s trigger resolves, or make a token after Avacyn’s trigger resolves and not kill anything.

In all of these cases, Avacyn’s trigger will still resolve normally.

Oh my god when I was little me and my sister got on this role playing website and the clan was called MoonClan and I had like two or three characters but my main one was named Mirrorpool and my sister was Mirrorpool's mother and Mirrorpool just looked like Deliliah cause I was lazy… Oh my god it was so embarrassing. With Mirrorpool ;the ability to copy target instant/sorcery you control. I cast pulse of murasa, whilst on the stack I sacrifice mirrorpool and pay the cost could I copy pulse to get back mirrorpool that I sacrificed with the copy spell? Thanks.

Yes.

Mirrorpool is in your graveyard by the time its activated ability resolves and makes a copy of Pulse of Murasa, so it’s a legal choice when you change the target of the copy.

If I use bring to light and then use a mirrorpool land to copy said bring to light does the lack of different types of mana mean that I cant cast any cards that arent 0 mana cost with my copied bring to light? I read on the rules and It seemed like it would copy the original mana types due to one of the rulings. Also if I cast mirror pool and bring to light is countered via instant will the mirror pool still activate and bring out a creature even if the original was countered or not?

No mana was spent to cast the copy of Bring to Light, so you’ll only be able to find cards with CMC of 0 with the copy.
