Finally finished my versions of Orochimaru's parents :P !
Miryoku (魅力) is Oro's father. He was a shinobi for the Hidden Leaf and was a member of the Uchiha clan (his mother was an Uchiha, but his father wasn't). Because of the rising hatred of the Uchiha by the village, he took his father's name and tried to separate himself for his safety. His sharingan never manifested, and although his skills as a ninja were very good, he always felt like a failure. Miryoku was an expert in military planning/analyzing battles and academically excelled-he was considered a genius. He traveled for a while to learn new techniques and met Mamushihime at Ryuchi caves (though he failed to learn sage mode).
Mamushihime (蝮姫) is Oro's mother. She was originally a snake from the Ryuchi caves but always snuck out to explore; she was blinded in her right eye after encountering a human, and was subsequently banned from leaving. Miryoku snuck her out of the caves after completing the sage trials. Mamushihime loved exploring and meeting new people, but she was unfamiliar with humans and had a hard time connecting with them. She was considered a real freak, but she didn't mind; she actually greatly enjoyed freaking people out. Her specialty was very weird techniques like soft physique modification and healing injuries by barfing herself a new body (like Orochimaru).
Miryoku and Mamushihime were VERY in love. Mamushihime gave one of her earrings to Miryoku as an engagement ring of sorts. Orochimaru inherited most of his mothers' looks and both of their prowess as shinobi, as well as Miryoku's genius. They were killed in a plot by the Konoha government for reasons you can probably guess...but that'll be another post hehe
And for the grand finale: Miryoku and Mamushihime are both transgender!!!🏳️⚧️🎉🏳️⚧️🎉🏳️⚧️ massive win!
(Note: I'm not Japanese so the outfits/names might be inaccurate. Also, the kanji for Mamushihime's name is literally just the kanji for mamushi and hime put together since I couldn't find the actual kanji lol. Feel free to send me asks, I love yapping about my OCs <3)
