Kinda miffed they masc-ed up Orochimaru's yukata in Zaku's flashback in the anime.
Been a while since I read the manga, so I was mostly used to the anime version and didn't think anything of it, but there are some subtle differences. In the manga the obi is broader, the bow larger and the sleeves longer, making it more feminine. Even the way Orochimaru stands is different, more broad-shouldered in the anime.
Fascinating how such little details change Orochimaru's whole appearance. Honestly very pretty, even sort of dainty. If not for their unhinged expression lol
It looks very similar to what Orochimaru is wearing in some official Boruto artwork. Goes to show that this is a style they seem to prefer in general, not something they only discovered in the Boruto era. We might've seen more of it if Kishimoto wasn't so fucking married to constantly putting Orochimaru in that Kusa nin outfit...
Another thing I always found interesting, but particularly so with the more femme look in the manga is how the collar is looser than what you would usually see women wear, but Orochimaru has a turtleneck underneath to cover any skin that would be exposed except the face. So it comes off as casual, could even be somewhat considered improper, but still interwoven with Orochimaru's habit of not showing too much of their body.
Anyway, I support Orochimaru slaying both literally and figuratively.
Happy late birthday Mitsuki <3
(i imagine log was really excited to be a big brother)
🌕7.Mitsuki's birthday☀️
Happy birthday, Mitsuki🩵🐍
I love this little detail that Orochimaru goes a little insane over having even one strand of hair cut. The blood likely amplified the emotions, but it's still a neat characteristic. Would explain why we always see Orochimaru with long hair in diguises (except when impersonating someone like Rasa or Naruto and that one anime-only scene were they play a doctor to get Hachibi DNA). No, hiding their identity isn't more important than the hair. Death before a haircut!
Tbf, it seems to be working. They can stand next to Hiruzen und Anko in the aquivalent of a Clark Kent disguise making the wildest faces and nobody notices anything.
I just know at some point when they were kids Jiraiya wanted to be funny, cut some of their hair off and Orochimaru went absolutely berserk on him. A mistake he only made once.
mitsuki’s birthday doodle! miss them so much rn
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MITSUKI!!!!!
(I have art coming but it’s also my siblings bday today so I’m doing that right now)
Happy birthday Sasuke we love you. thank you for being woke emo and gay at a time when few had the bravery to. An icon of our time 🍅🦾🔥
The sannin are one of the few teams (or former team), who almost never wear a forehead protector. Only during active duty up until the 3rd war. Unless I'm forgetting something, Tsunade doesn't wear one during the 4th one either. Jiraiya often has one, but it shows his association with the toads rather than Konoha. And well, Orochimaru obviously doesn't wear one either unless it's for a disguise. For Orochimaru it makes sense, but Jiraiya and Tsunade are still in league with Konoha/actively leading it yet they never wear its symbol once they're in their 30s and older.
I just keep thinking about how they are all associated with Konoha in some way (even Orochimaru after defection), but always keep their distance as well. Never quite intrinsically a part of it unlike other shinobi. Most obvious in how they all left the village for decades, even Tsunade & Jiraiya having little to no contact with it, and rarely if ever wear its symbol.
Three Legendary Sannin
The Sannin really are the Naruto team of all time. Each one represented by an animal. Perfect three-way deadlock, all left Konoha at some point in time, utterly ungovernable and the poster children for how PTSD can affect you until late adulthood.
Imagine not only being strong as fuck, but also basically a representation of the three vices of a ninja. Legends.
Orochimaru truly acts like a snake because she was aggressive and hostile before she was immortal out of fear but now that death isn’t a constant worry for her she’s calm and more level-headed. Happy for her honestly
hey guysss so unfortunately the rumors are true and im leaving the narrative. Buttt the good news is my absence will create such a gaping hole in your lives that it will become a sort of presence itself, and so in a way it will kind of be like i never left! But i am. Leaving just to be clear.
Is this a safe space to say that orochimarus eng dub voice gives me asmr
thank god they didn’t have phones in konoha back when sasuke left the village cuz naruto would’ve been on his phone all day listening to tarot readers telling him sasuke is thinking about him and he’ll hear from him in the next three days
