From early times, humans sought to enhance potency and fertility, believing that intense copulation would accelerate the growth of fields. Seed and harvest, pregnancy and birth were considered essentially the same.

In India, woman is the man's field of cultivation, as she was for Muhammad. And among the Etruscans, the orgy was also an essential part of a world where the plow and the phallus, sowing and fertilization, were intertwined. Rites from all eras have demonstrated this relationship, often dramatically. Likewise, from very early times, the farmer was depicted with an erect penis, and the plow itself as a phallus. In Athens, it was customary to reaffirm the final betrothal ceremony on a plow.
It would be incorrect to interpret phallic worship solely from a naturalist perspective or as a mere display of obscenity. The exaltation of the senses was related to this, but it was also a religious expression. For primitive man, the vagina and the phallus, as bearers of the ability to conceive and reproduce, were sacred, his most tangible powers in the face of death.

If we are in a subordinate group and observe how the dominant group speaks and how we live our own lives, they don't align. There are two distinct ways of being in the world: those of the dominant group and those of the subjugated group.
But precisely because the dominant group dominates, it cannot see this; it lives within its own structure of domination. Meanwhile, the subjugated group has the potential to see this divide and change things. The dominators are themselves dominated by their own ideology. They are trapped in a dream from which they cannot awaken.
Suddenly, we hear about class again, but for years we've been told that class doesn't actually exist, that we are all middle class. Nobody says that today. Partly because they want to use the white working class as a scapegoat! Class is discussed so that a certain ethnicized class can be blamed for everything…
There are at least two levels to what class is: class as a form of consciousness and class as a form of domination. The forms of domination persist, but we could say that the forms of consciousness have been fractured. They know how class consciousness is produced—that it's easy to produce when people can talk to each other about shared experiences. That's why workers aren't allowed to talk to each other! Let's say I've finished my workday and I'm going home. Am I going to leave the house again? I'm tired! [Capitalism] has to continually inhibit the capacity for consciousness, and it has done a very good job of it.
¡Estoy cansado!

“I think part of my problem is, don't put me in the pink corner,” she explained. “I am a deeply conflicted feminist person who gets regularly called a feminist pornographer when I see nothing inherently feminist about the pornography I produce.”
Stoya insisted there was no room to pretend to be a performer in mainstream porn was an empowering or liberating act for a woman. Instead, she argued mainstream porn is simply a response to carnal demand.
“Nothing about the pornographic material I perform in does anything to intentionally further feminism,” she wrote. "It is bluntly superficial entertainment that caters to one of the most basic human desires. Pornography exists and is not going to go away anytime in the near future. I see it as neither inherently empowering nor disempowering. Showing up on set and doing my job is not an act of feminism.
“My politics and I are feminist…but my job is not.”
Pop culture and pornographic culture have become part of the same seamless continuum, with the former embracing much of the representation of women and human sexuality shaped by the codes and conventions of p -graphy—codes centered around the exploitation, objectification, and domination of women. As these images become ubiquitous in popular culture, they are normalized, cease to be remarkable, and are increasingly accepted.
The broad scope of visual media considered New Aesthetic was described by Bruce Sterling in Wired magazine, which included ‘[…] satellite views. Parametric architecture. Surveillance cameras. Digital image processing. Video frames mixed with data. Glitches and corruption artifacts. 3D voxelized pixels on real-world geometries. Dazzling camouflage. Zoom distortions and render ghosts. And, finally, nostalgic retro graphics.’
Camuflaje deslumbrante. Deformaciones por zoom y Render ghosts. Y, por último, gráficos retro nostálgicos.’
Sterling was beginning to grasp that this new thing, approach, and attitude existed, one that could be used extensively, horizontally, and synchronously. Additionally, several early New Aesthetic commentators seized upon the various categories of computational errors and glitches as a way to identify fascinating, inhumanly flawed contemporary images as a vital element of New Aesthetic's fields of interest.

Love is one of the palliative responses to the blessing/curse of human individuality, one of whose attributes is loneliness. […] All love has a touch of anthropophagic impulse. All lovers want to dominate, eliminate, and cleanse the troublesome difference that separates them from their beloved.
Separation is the lover's most intense fear. What better way to achieve this than to make the beloved an inseparable part of oneself? Wherever you go, I go; whatever you do, I do; whatever I accept, you accept; whatever I hate, you will hate. If you can't be my Siamese twin… be my clone!
Why do you, intellectuals and politicians, side with the proletariat? Out of pity for what? I understand that the proletarians hate you, but not because you are bourgeois, privileged with refined taste, but because you don't dare say the only important thing: that one can enjoy swallowing the semen of capital, its commodities, swallowing tons of it until one bursts.
And because instead of saying that, […] you say: ah, but that's alienation. It's not pretty, wait, let's liberate them, let's work to free them from that evil attachment to servitude, let's give them back their dignity. And in this way, you moralists side with the most ignoble, the one who wants our desires as capitalists to be ignored, forbidden. You are like priests with sinners, you are afraid of our servile intensities, and you need to tell yourselves: you suffer and endure too much! And we, the capitalists, certainly suffer, but that doesn't mean we don't enjoy it, nor that your remedy doesn't disgust us even more; your Vaseline horrifies us. We'd rather burst from the excesses you deem foolish. And don't expect our spontaneity to rebel either.
I was browsing through texts and saw that Mark Fisher used this one in his lectures. It's Jean-François Lyotard's Libidinal Economy, and he used it to illustrate the resistance to leaving the consumerist system. I've edited it from the two translations it contains to make it clearer in English, but I haven't changed a single word, nor have I vulgarized the tone or sexualized it, I swear by Saint Max Stirner.
