misarus and i were talking about hamatora high school au so pls consider the following:

nice, murasaki and art being second years except nice is younger than them because he skipped a grade (genius perks)

birthday and ratio being useless third year senpais who've been dating since like the end of middle school and it's gross

honey, hajime, and skill all being first year classmates

nice is first in the class and murasaki is second aND IT PISSES HIM OFF SO MUCH

art and skill being in student council and totally covering for nice's ass

birthday being super popular but also really loyal to ratio who gets bullied a lot and refusing to talk to anyone that says anything bad about him

MORAL, THREE, AND MAO BEING TEACHERS AND GASQUET AS PRINCIPAL

moral totally plays favorites with nice even though art does the best in his class, three is a super intense gym teacher, and mao is the most shit teacher ever and just puts on movies for them to watch everyday and is just super shady in general. master is a science teacher and koneko is a student teacher who helps him and she's a really big fan of 'teambuilding activities' so she always sticks nice and murasaki together because she thinks they fight too much

momoka as the tech person. no one goes to her when their shit is broken though because they're all terrified of her except for moral who eats lunch with her

nowhere gang has their own lunch table. skill has art make him extra lunch to share with hajime and it's cute

freemums also have their own table and they're kind of like lame delinquent art starts hanging out with them for awhile for some reason until they start talking shit about the nowhere gang and art punches ishigami in the face and almost gets kicked out of student council. art is probably also in the top ten but he gets frustrated because he feels like he has to work a lot harder to get the same grades nice, murasaki, skill and honey do

birthday and ratio are always best couple in the yearbook and sometime birthday sits on ratio's lap when they eat lunch

the anime itself came out in 2005 but to be fair the style IS very retro and it makes sense considering the original manga came out in 1992

and the white haired guy in that picture is fake akagi and yes, he does look like a carrot
