Tbhwy I’d have been fine with Lunafreya as she is if they’d gotten around to her dlc episode and/or didn’t do the arranged marriage thing.

I really really hate arranged marriage plots lol. You really didn’t need to have that as the reason for the road trip.

I have a question please. I was listening to a song from FFXV called Too Much is Never Enough. My question is on this part from the song: “maybe Luna had it right.” What did Luna have right? Many thanks.

Lol, you could honestly take her out of the game and nothing would've changed. That's how bad her character was, the whole sacrificing your livelihood for a man or person is so outdated and repulsive. Noctis had more chemistry with his bros anyway.

The whole arranged marriage angle in that game is really repulsive tbh. You didn’t need that to be the (pretty flimsy) reason for the road trip. It’s one of the few things I genuinely don’t like about the game — it really sticks out like a sore thumb given the whole “modern(ish) royalty in a fantasy setting” vibe Noct gives off. I will say she’s a little more interesting in that novel that came out last year, but like… by then it was way too late for her character. I feel like XV didn’t necessarily even have to have a canon romance, and I especially don’t think it needed to be that one lmao — the game’s ultimately about the main four and their time together. Everything else feels forced.

Ultimately, it honestly felt like they were going for some sort of Aerith-scale sacrifice/death without like.. any real understanding of why Aerith’s death hit so fucking unbelievably hard and was so important to the plot. Hell, even if you just contrast Noct and Luna’s sacrifices, only one of them is actually really memorable and upsetting because Noct is the character you actually get to know.

But yeah. You know it’s bad when I’ve been asked who “the blonde that seems like Noctis’ love interest in ffxv” is by someone who hasn’t played the game yet, and my response is just automatically, going down the line “You mean Prompto?/Oh so you mean Ignis then??/…did Gladio go through a blonde phase I don’t know about???” Lol.

So everyone just thought it was okay to not tell me that there’s dlc in ffxv that noctis DOESNT die? Am I that unimportant to the world where it took me deep diving into the Lucis bloodline’s abilities to find alternate endings? AM I?

There’s dlc and there’s a whole novel called Dawn of the Future! It’s so good!

I would have told you but I didn’t know that you didn’t know. ): The English version of Dawn of the Future came out around this time last year but kinda fell under the radar because of COVID and the fallout from that.

It’s literally the only thing that makes my heart hurt less regarding FFXV and why I picked that game up again despite only being kinda lukewarm to it, initially.

Prompto and noctis' "ship name" being promptis and not Promise is a missed opportunity

I guess it’s because of how people usually just split both names in half for the ship (which is pretty annoying and sounds horrible half the time tbh) + how close it is to Promnis.

But yeah, totally agree lol. ‘Promis’ and ‘Gladnis’ woulda been a pretty cute and complimentary pair of ship names imo.
