In her continuing urge to purge, Sharon noticed that so-called “organizer” drawers on our basement “work bench” were neither organized, nor able to function properly for being overstuffed.
In Phase One of Operation Nuts and Bolts, she dumped half the drawers (on a cookie sheet, yet) and challenged me to pick the winners and losers - what to keep and what to dump.
Seeing it all spread out like that, she said, would make it easier for me to separate the keepers from the maybes; the probably-nots from the never-in-a-million-years.
It was still far from easy. So what if couldn’t even identify some of the stuff, or its function; there may come a day when i need that particular thing only to find out that I’ll have to buy a package of eight ... or that they no longer make them.
You never know. You just never know.
